Gallhammer. Just Gallhammer. Great mix of sludge and black metal.

I realise that most Escapists like rock music rather than the type of music I like so if you're one of them then just don't bother reading this...

There's this youtuber named Drew, username: Drewby1xo & she is an amazing singer, she mostly does covers but has a few original songs, as for well known singers I like a few current pop singers, yk GaGa etc. as for older female singers Cyndi Lauper & Enya (Only Time), also there was this singer named Lenka who had a song called "the show" which got stuck in my head for weeks, not exactly good though.

Just wanna say that there's a LOT of good shit being posted by others in this thread.

I want to add the STAR FUCKING HIPSTERS, half female fronted. Just have to make a disclaimer that I really hate some of the sensibilities of this band and their forbearers. Leftover Crack and Choking Victim have bored me to tears with punk that takes itself far too seriously in some aspects.

WITH THAT SAID, this is just a fantastic song. Nico De Gaillo makes a huge difference for me, than just listening to just Sturgeon. I fucking hate that guy. BUT I DIGRESS. She actually makes Sturgeon bearable and abit enjoyable to me.

What perplexes me even more is the fact that their's no other mention of Veruca Salt other than my original post.

So terribly sad. :(

My favourite band, it's a female fronted grunge band from the 90's.

Their first two albums are god like (American thighs, and eight arms to hold you).

They kinda sound like the breeders, but somewhat heavier.

Eh...It was alright. I'm not into grunge much. I only like Alice in Chains and Nirvana. I did however dig the main guitar riff and the music video was pretty cool :)

Grunge is my favourite genre, so i lap this shit up like a bacon sandwich to a starving wolf (epic yahtzee quote ftw).

Also, if your interested, be sure to check out their other stuff. After the decline of the grunge sound they turned into this awesome power pop rock band with their second album.

If it makes you feel better, I totally flipped out last year when I found American Thighs in a random box at the flea market for a dollar. Good haul that day.. Starcraft, Street Fighter 2, and Veruca Salt.

Also-

Looking at this video, and the cover to Spinnerette, I'm beginning to think Brody's ass is a member of the band.

Edit: American Thighs. Not Eight Arms. My bad.

Ahh, the Distillers. Solid solid punk rock band that put out three great albums and should've gone on forever.

Spinnerette I just can't get as into. Baptized by Fire however is a fantastic song.

My favourites include:

Holy Moses
Warlock/Doro
The Distillers
Arch Enemy
Girlschool
Orianthi ('solo' artist who has a band)
Ninja'd for Arch Enemy.
If you mean someone ninja'd me, of course they did. If you mean I ninja'd you... one of the earliest posts was a video of their's. I own all the special editions of all the albums - even the rare Anthems of Rebellion audio only DVD.

Oh ok, to be fair, all I did was type Arch Enemy using Ctrl+F, so that probably explains it. Also, JEALOUS.
