Guess it's a little clichéd, but I find Cyric (from The Forgotten Realms, D&D or whatever you prefer to call it) very interesting. Especially how he went from insane to a total wacko.

The elder god from The Legacy of Kain series, he devours the souls of his followers and has a kick ass voice to boot.
