everyone has their favourite.. and i was wondering what the reasons behind everyones ff of choice is... and also whether i'm all alone on fighting on the ff9 front? ;) lol
No. I'm also on the same front as yours. Why?

FF7: I still can't believe that game isn't a parody. There so many clichés. Also, do i really have to fight a kid with an Oedipus complex and find him threatening? And, i'm the only one on this but, I saw first time through what would happen to Aeris. It was telegraph a disk and a fews hours before. There also the fact that Selphiroth(intentional) stab Aeris stomach. (Since your a women, you should know) That mean that the cause of dead is drowning by Cloud. Nice going Emo Kid!

FF8: I can make a 9000 page book on that. I only own it because to remind me not to follow fanboy recommendation. EVER

FFX: Daddy issue and dialog written for people that still think girl give cooties. I went to Sid and deem the world not worth saving.

FFXII: The Gambit system remove the strategy aspect of the game. That said, I feel the same way Yahtzee feel on his THE WORLD END WITH YOU review.

FFXIII: Boringly make you traverse a corridor and then ask you to read the equivalent of the full Harry Potter's series just put you up to speed with the game. I'm at twenty hour in and didn't found anything intriguing so by now they should all be turn into Zombies. En the world became a better place. I'll keep that one also to remind me to never bought anything base on a name i like. EVER!

Edit: What your reason?

hahaha great point mate xD i disagree with the obsession with 7, yeah, it's good... but it's no better than any others... tbh i like all of them but 9 was just magical ^_^ *jizzes self over 9*
Yeah, But i can understand why everyone call Sephiroth a murderer when he stab Aeris stomach. Hell, i can't play that without having that song stuck in my head now.
But the inventory and Stat Builder was good, considering that you can build you character however you like.

Final Fantasy 9 was funnier. And the character more humane. They also didn't went through the game mopping. If there's one character that should have done it in the franchise, it Vivi... AND IT TAKE IT LIKE A MAN!

Currently replaying 9 right now actually.

PSN Store, playing it on my PS3. Just as fun as I remembered it.

Nope. I loved FF9. The most beautiful love story I have ever read.

I'd say XIII at the moment.

I have commitment issues with FF games. They're great fun, but the moment i get lost or hit a grindy section in the wrong mood i give up and end up forgetting about it until a year later.

With XIII though i was just able to get on with it. The combat was fun and fast paced and there was no grinding or getting lost. It was very on-rails but that didn't stop it being a fun ride.

Although if i did stick to one of the others more i'm pretty sure XIII would sink further down the list. Other than that my favourites are IV and VI (from what i remember of them).

FF1 (PSP version) - I love this one. I got everyone to level 99 and had a save outside the optional dungeon. Sadly I lost the save.

FF3 (DS) - I loved this game for the job system but once I started playing FF5, I stopped liking this game so much.

FF4 (DS) - I've play ed this twice. I think it's a great game.

FF5 (GBA) - I love this game because of the job system it has. I've spend over 50 hours playing this game and I'm still just outside Karnak (leveling up jobs) and everyone is currently level 41.

FF10 (PS2) - The first FF I ever played. I like the characters, the sphere grid, the battle system. It's also a great game.

FF12 (PS2) - I like this game because of the big world and hunting monsters. The gambit system is good if you keep things simple.

FF13 (PS3) - I haven't played it yet.

If I had to pick a favourite, I'd pick FF1/FF12.
