I sort of have to say Ocarina of Time because of the impact it had on my childhood and gaming, but the game that I just never get sick of and does everything close to perfectly is Resident Evil 4. Had the Gamecube version myself and I still replay it just for fun. Such a great experience.

For me, it would have to be Uncharted 2. Look beyond the supremely pretty graphics and there's a solid shooter and platformer behind there, with a gripping story to boot.

Daikatana, I mean whats not to love about the game!?
The game realistically portrays the intelligence of an average person and also throws some light on the topics of not being dependent on anyone by the addition of side kicks who cannot be trusted.
Oh and the story! Don't even comment upon it. The story was a masterfully crafted artistic design! Just the introduction of the character Superfly Johnson brings a tear to the eye.
I will not spoil it for anyone else though know this, the game must be experienced to be believed.
These are the above reasons I love daikata(apart from being a troll)

It's difficult for me to narrow down just one game, but if I was forced to I would go with..

..Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.

There was just something about it; the voice acting, gameplay, setting, atmosphere, factions, characters, story, dialogue and humour.

Other great games would be the original Crash and Spyro games, Dynasty Warriors 4, Ratchet and Clank series, jak and Daxter series, Resistance: Fall of Man and Fallout: New Vegas.

For PC it's definately Dawn of War and the expansions.
Wow i completely forgot about spyro! i freaking love it! always have! D: mercenaries is definitely a fun game although i dont like the ragdoll physics in it xD

WOW!

THIS THREAD HAS TOTALLY NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE!

OT: I unno, Bully [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bully_(video_game)], I guess, it was hilarious, fun and immersive.
dude i just made an acoount,
I know, but surely you could have taken 10 seconds to type the thread name into the search bar and see how many of these god-damn "Wahts ur fav gaem evar" threads are made every bloody day....
hey, I have an idea! How about next time you see a thread like this, instead of clicking on it, with the sole reason to just complain about it, just move on and don't bother with it!

Problem solved :D

OT: My favourite game was Fallout 3. I spent the most hours on it, and it was super fun to play. I just like the free roam aspect in games I guess. Although I don't like Fallout: New Vegas as much...
Thank you so much ^_^ and yeah same here, New Vegas was just too similiar to Fallout 3 so it kinda bored me, im not bored of Fallout 3 but that just...i dont know...it just didnt feel that great

Seriously, though, my favourite games are Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 1, pretty much all the pokémon games.
Mass Effect 1 was much better than the 2nd although i didnt like some stuff in the first it still is far better than its sequel, pokemon games win over all games haha XD pokemons always been amazing and hopefully always will be :p
Can You edit your post instead of double posting when you quote and reply to someone? Some of us don't have a very good connection.

I'm going to go with Ratchet & Clank: Up your arsenal (The third in the series I believe)

It had Dr. Nefarious and Captain Quark, that's pretty much all the reason I need.

The recent Ratchet & Clank games are pretty much the only reason I'm contemplating if I should buy a PS3.

Chrono Trigger for the SNES.

Loved how they built the world--how the different plotlines from different eras connect into the main story. I love the variety of characters (you can have a frog knight from the dark ages, a robot from a post-apocolyptic future, and a cavewoman from prehistoric times in the same party), the combat system was a good--classic ATB with dual moves that require certain combinations of characters, and one of the best soundtracks you'll ever find.

Starcraft.
Because it is not stupid and doesn't feel like wasting time.

Favourite console game apart from Tetris would be Illusion of Time on the SNES. Never played Link to the Past for too long though. Should do that.

DOOM, because it still has better gameplay than any other FPS I've ever played. Not as sophisticated or versatile perhaps, but instinctive, intuitive and just plain fun.

Hey, guess what, I'm new as well! Yay!

Um... it really depends on my mood. I cycle through games. Right now I'm completely obsessed with Psychonauts. Like, writing a formal essay on Psychonauts obsessed.

RTS: Battle for Middle Earth II.

Storywise, you don't get much better than Mass Effect 2, but I preferred the gameplay in 1 myself.

And, believe it or not, the game that made the most emotional impact on me was Dragon Age: Origins. I'd have to say that no matter what, it always makes number one. I was genuinely surprised when people just said "Eh, seen it. Don't care" when the number one sellers today are FPSs that all look and play mostly the same. It's solid, I really liked the characters and I loved the theme of sacrifice that wove itself through the game...

Hm... I should write an essay on that as well...

Anyway, I guess you can tell what kind of player I am. I love Heroes of Might and Magic and just can't play Bioshock. Whatever.

And I like LotRO. Because Tolkien is my role model.

PS: I'm really surprised that a website that has some of the most intelligent gaming commentary on the web doesn't want to continue to discuss their favorite games. Huh. You'd think that everytime another post like this popped up they'd jump on it. Whatevs.
