I was playing fallout 3 the other day when three deathclaws that were chasing me suddenly seemed to get flung into the sky from a bit of scenery they got stuck on and then fell from the sky shortly afterwards having died somehow, much to my (almost dead) relief and confusion.

So while there are game glitches that crash the game or just ruin it, whats your favourite glitch thats either made you laugh or just saved your bacon like mine did? Or even mysterious happening that your not sure are glitches or just the game been nice and helping you. i'm just asking out of curiousity here as I'm sure theres some interesting stories out there.

My favorite glitch was in Oblivion and it happened to my friend. You know those "wacky wavy inflatable" things you see in front of businesses sometimes? Well my friend was walking to a fortress and in front of the entrance there's a body floating in mid air flailing its limbs wildly like the wacky wavy inflatable thing and it just stayed in that position. My friend and I could not stop laughing.

Swing set in GTA4. LET THE CARS FLY. Seriously I really enjoy launching cars across the city.

Either that or the collision glitches that launch stuff into the sky.

I'm always a fan of the random "Six Million Dollar Deathclaws" that suddenly Steve Austin their way into space in Fallout 3. You'll just be sitting there, when suddenly the deathclaw not far from you will rocket into the sky, and a few seconds later respawn and do it again, and again, and again.

My favourite one ever though is the flying tanks from GTA. Never gets old.

They have many uses, I can see why the residents of Tamriel would use them.

On one playthrough of Sacred (yes, it's an OOOOLD game), there was an NPC standing in the middle of the road, halfway through the animation it uses when someone falls over. So this guy's just leaning backwards at a 45° angle, one arm flung upward.

People are walking by, as if nothing's amiss. The guy responds with your usual "I have only one line" shtick you expect from NPCs.

Oblivion. There is a tunnel linking one of the towns with a small shack outside it that has a bedroll, table etc and the tunnel itself, being outside, has animals in it. Level I went in, it was wolves. In the process of fighting them I managed to Power Attack one inside a wall, and it glitched halfway up it, hilariously stupid expression stuck on its dead face.
So now my cosy little smuggler tunnel has a wolf's head stuffed and mounted in it like some crazy hunt trophy. Home sweet home.

Fallout 3. Once after loading, all the characters went bug-eyed until I reloaded. That was awesome.

Once, when I was playing Uncharted 2, Drake decided he'd had enough and ran through one of the forbidden doors in the first museum--totally bypassing my controls--and kept running outside of the map until I reset the game.

I wish I could've reproduced that but Drake made his point clear the first time.

Other glitches include ones I brought about myself like the Tweaking Glitch in Pokemon Diamond or the various glitches (Early Master Sword, etc) in Twilight Princess but those don't really count.

one time in halo 3, on the hardest diffcutly setting my sister and I were on the lvl Floodgate, jumping downard to contine. To our horror we saw that our landing zone had over a dozen flood combat forms on it. When we landed however, the flood combat forms fell apart, and the infections forms flee. We don't know why or how it happened, but we were happy.

Remember that part in Deus Ex Human Revolution with that one guy who was addicted to drugs trying to break in to some guys house? I wouldn't have either if I hadn't been trying to stealth and get the jump on him. Sadly I discovered that there was no way I could get any sort of height advantage at all, jumping included. Because he was floating. In the air. On top of a chair. While spinning around. In a crouched, fetal position.

Needless to say, my day had been made.

Perfect Dark Zero for the X-Box 360 actually holds two of my favorites.

The first is that apparently the game doesn't treat moving vehicles as being dangerous, it treats TIRES as being dangerous. Even if a vehicle isn't moving, if you get real close to its tires, you start to take enormous amounts of damage very, very fast. My roommates and I figured this out one day while playing multiplayer on one of the large desert maps that has an overturned military truck. One of my roommates ducked behind the truck for some cover, stood too close to the tires, and died. At first we thought someone shot him... but nope, we later figured out, it was the truck's tires... despite the truck not moving at all... and being on its side...

The second also happened during a multiplayer game with my roommates. I shot some random player in the head with a sniper rifle, scoring a one-hit kill. The body, rather than falling to the ground and disappearing, instead started to spin rapidly and stretch out. The longer we watched it the faster it spun and the more stretched out it got, until the corpse's spinning limbs were as big as the entire map. After five minutes or so the corpse vanished.

That was such an unimpressive game.

Which town is that? The only tunnel I can think of is the one in Bruma, but there's no shack at the end.

OT - My most memorable glitch, although annoying as all hell, was when I was playing a good character in Oblivion. Being good and all, I didn't break into houses, kill innocents, steal, etc. However, despite having a bounty of 0 and 0 infamy, every guard that saw me would run up as if he were going to arrest me, initiate conversation, then walk away, only to repeat himself once I'd walked two steps.

I don't know if it was a glitch, but the unlimited items glitch in Oblivion (at least the 360 version) was pretty useful. Especially for getting arrows.

That happened to me with a Deathclaw. I had just watched it kill a Yao Guai, and it immediately started running after me, and a second after I began backpedaling it shot up into the air.

Initialize a kiss in GTA San Andreas co-op mode, have the receiving party enter a car.
Lulz was had.

The vehicle took off vertically like 200x faster than the harrier.

Well, I was replaying Bioshock for a class (games as literature) the other day, shot a splicer mid-jump and their corpse fell through the floor.

My reaction was "NOOOOO!!!! *jumps up and down where she fell through* MY LOOOOOOOT!!!!"

And then there's the pokemon Missingno glitch. FREAKING love that thing. :p Very memorable.

That game also features my favorite, where sometimes enemies become weightless after they are killed and float off into the atmosphere. We went through one level where the shadow of a floating enemy could be seen for most of the map. Bug central.

Also, I'm not sure if it's a "feature" or a glitch but people sometimes come falling out of the sky in Saints Row 2.
