Avalon Code for the DS. Very odd game that plays like nothing else I've ever seen. The 18th century French fashion it utilizes makes it all the more memorable.
Loved Avalon Code. Juggling enemies into high orbit was always a blast, especially if you manage to get a boss up there. And I agree, it was like nothing I've ever played.

Zatacka. Either the DOS version or the 360 one (for all its quirks and bugs). Easily the most enjoyable multiplayer game to grace a screen. If only more people would be willing to risk it, they'd find their lives enriched.

It's probably not as obscure as some of the other games in this thread, but it has been so overshadowed by the praise and love that Goldeneye gets that I never hear anyone mention it. Great multiplayer with bots.
Yes! Me and my cousin played the Multi player of that constantly, The guided missles where the tits!

As my for my choice, Its got to be the Lost Kingdoms series!

I knew it! And loved it! We used to play it together round my mate's house. Ah... where's a new overtly violent sports imitation games now...

Erm. road Trip Adventure, for the PS2 was a fantastic game. It seems like everything about it was built to appeal to me. Lovely game.

I love those games and haven't really met anyone else who has played them, at least as much as I have.
I hear you, I played Heroes V for a long time, and III even more; I still consider III to be the best in the series.
And The LOTR BFME were really good too; only a few RTS keep me interested and I finished all of those games in a short time. The expansion packs were great too.

I would have to choose Syberia as my favorite game that not many people played. And it is my favorite game period.

Another one would be:

It was insanely fun for me, I should probably replay it soon.

I gotta say Spirit Camera on thge 3DS. It's so addicting and running around the house looking for ghost is actually quiet fun.

But if your talking about older games, than I have to say the old Pokemon Card game for the Gameboy. I remember I found it at a gamestop for like, fifty cents and I couldnt stop playing it. Not that bad either.

Something not already mentioned: Gargoyle's Quest for the Gameboy. A really cool and, when you're 9, brutally difficult platform/RPG game with a unique setting. I really liked it.
Also, Tombi for the PSX! My favourite platforming adventure game EVAR.
Alsoalso, Doshin the Giant for the Gamecube. God game/city building sim where you play as a big yellow giant or a big red demon. A very meditative experience.

Elementary - Dear Watson

RIP Eleuthera, I will miss you

Little Big Adventure
It was the first proper game I played back in 1997 as an 8 year old! I loved it, and still do! I just got it back from GoG! :D

I loved that giant house-stomping Jetpack robot, probably because it was the only vehicle I could use properly from the time I first piloted it.

The Golden Sun series was one of my favourite but it was never spoken of when it was out for the GBA, although a few people here have mentioned it.
I only played the GBA games, but I'm still thinking about getting a DSi (last model with a classic cardridge slot) just so I can play GS3... Though I would probably get some other games too then :)

No One Lives Forever. Campy as fuck with an excellent story and great gameplay. More people need to experience NOLF.
Agreed. I have fond memories of lipstick grenades, skydiving w/o a parachute and getting the hell away from that burping and farting fat basterd that was about to explode, taking the whole block with him. Good times :D

But since I have to take a game nobody else knows about I present you...

I just learned that this game is older than me, which explains why it was among the first video games I ever played.

We seem to get topics like these every week, but I'll leave my two cents anyway.

I think I love you. Well, I loved this game when I was younger. It was called Illusion of Time in Europe.

This was probably the first game that actually made me give a shit about the characters and at the time it was graphically pretty stunning, the first time that I wandered into the city with the falling petals I was pretty blown away. Ok, so it was pretty short (I beat it in about 4 days) and pretty linear, but it was an engrossing story that I played over and over again.

I was beginning to feel like I was the only person to play this game, I was hoping that they would re-release it when it seemed like the only thing the GBA was good for was SNES ports, but it never happened.

Heh, was just thinking about posting this actually.. Still got my copy and I do believe it still works!

And to post something:

"Mulle Meck bygger flygplan", a rare gem that I never played when I was in the age-bracket it's intended for.. Damn funny to boot up when drunk though!

A couple of XBL indie games come to mind I've been playing lately:

Techno Kitten Adventures - seizure inducing goodness.

Aban Hawkins: Curse of the 1000 spikes - An 8 bit side scroller that gives you 1000 to complete the game and is hard as hell.

You are not alone, My friend! Most people that still love the game despite Capcom douchebaggery hang around on the CapcomUnity forums though.

I still hope that one day people will realize what a goddamn gem those games are. I put more hours into the original PS2 one than I did into any other game before or since. It still is top of my 'Best Online Multiplayer' List.

Anyway, I'd go for my least-known good game being the Original Rune Factory on the Nintendo DS. They've started to gather more steam now, but despite the first being buggy and awkward as all hell I still love it =3

I'll do you one better, how about Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories for the Ps1?

OT: I would have to say the Suikoden series, nobody that I've ever met or talked to (with the one exception here on the forums) has EVER known about them. Such a fantastic set of games (at least the first 3 were) but alas i'm sure i'll never see Suikoden 6 Q_Q

Its not every day you really go on an Adventure, so how about joining up with a guild that pays you to do it, be a merc, hunt treasure, hunt for bad guys, and help people. All while BEING the Pokemon?

Solid Concept? Check
Appeal? Check
Plot? HOLY SHIT ITS AMAZING and Check
Writing? HOLY SHIT IT AMAZING and Check
Combat? Either intense or just a grind
Characters? Only one character throughout the game you will not like
Plot Twists? Plenty of them
Deep Thinking? Suicide is talked about as in, consensual reasoning to kill one's self, SUICIDE IN A POKEMON GAME
All generations of Pokemon? 4th Generation and below unfortunatly, including the 5th gen would be a great Stimpak to the next game. (I like all Generations)

The first 3D fighter I ever played. I'd still love to get a copy today, along with its sequel. Obscure Squaresoft titles are almost always good (At least the old ones. We shall not speak of Infinite Undiscovery.)
