Portal 2, Half Life 2 (and its episodes) Uncharted 2, Mass Effect and Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and 4 all have pretty damn good voice acting.

Dragon age: Origins, Awakenings and DAII had pretty good voice acting for your companions, but bit-characters had awful voice acting and the main character for DAII had a very boring and bland voice.

The absolute worst voice acting I have ever experienced was in "Siren" for the PS2. For some daft, daft, DAFT reason, the english voice actors were all cockney brits (despite the game starring americans and japanese folks) who had all the enthusiasm of a bored person reading a particularly boring recipe from a cook-book.

In Portal 2 the voice acting is obviously great, but then, it's not hard to do when you only have a few characters... What is harder and more impressive (imo) is when you have an rpg/sandbox game with hundreds of characters/npcs and manage to get them to sound right, which is something BioWare have been pulling off recently, as well as GTA4.

But a shout-out for an old game: The Neverhood

Not much actual dialogue, but the sound-design as a whole is fantastic for a 15-year old game.

Dear Esther. The game exists the serve the voice acting and script (no, really; there is no "gameplay") and both are outrageously good for a free Source engine mod. Korsakovia is similarly good.

Every Valve game, obviously. Their commitment to quality really shines through.

Eternal Darkness wouldn't have worked without the superb voice acting and script.

FFX had some excellent voices (Maechen the scholar, Auron, Yuna, etc.)

Ico gets credit for having the sheer balls to not include any intelligible voice acting.

Tales of Vesperia is definitely a top choice, along with the Mass Effect and Fallout series. Fable 2 was really good and three was decent.

I guess I'll be the first to say it... Half-Life 2
I still think I'd enjoy it more if Freeman had a voice. And it was Charlie Sheen.
I imagine that turning out something like this:

And it would be awesome :)
That vid is definitely winning at everything.

I couldn't think of any before but then I realized that I just got 2! Portal 2 and GTA IV(75% off, thank you Steam<3). Gawd, everything sounded great in Portal 2. I dare you to find anyone who didn't wait instead of moving forward just so they could listen to Wheatley some more. And GTA IV has loads of accents, which I find so damn refreshing. I don't mind accents or other languages than english in games, they really liven the mood.

Most recently Portal 2. Sometimes I wished really good puzzles would end so I could have more Wheatley.

Red Dead Redemption.

Not just the amazing performance of John Marston, but every character really seems to take their character seriously and put a lot of feeling and attention to their characters. Really comes through as some of the most convincing digital characters in any game I've ever played.
THIS! The voice actors breathed life into their characters. Also BioShock (especially the guy who played Andrew Ryan), All Bioware & Valve games. Plus Dead Space 2 was well acted. The guy who was Issac was WAY better than I would've thought!

Metal

Gear

Solid

...

MGS1, the PS1 version. Hardly any other game has come as close, maybe some of valves work but that game just OOOZED atmosphere and the dialogue was an absolutely pivotal part... even though it was just an English dub slapped on at the last minute!
