My favorite champ is Heimerdinger. Only champ I enjoy playing. Just wish he was more viable.

What, no love for the redhead with a knife fetish? Few things are as satisfying as a well-executed Death Lotus. Plus, Katarina snowballs out of control unless you actually go out of your way to shut her down. Nothing but the tankiest characters can survive a full duration Death Lotus once she gets some things going...and considering she may have just killed three of your squishier buddies, she can just pop it in your face again. Word of warning though, if you want to get serious with Katarina, you will want to ragequit several times along the way.
Honorable mention to Gangplank because another satisfying thing is making people stop and wonder why there's suddenly raining cannonballs just a split-second after they jumped at your buddies on the other side of the map. (now if I only could get those buddies to appreciate the gift). Oh yeah and going all annoying orange on a stunlock gank attempt.
Honorable mention #2 for goofyness goes to Karthus, because while horribly impractical and rarely effective (but when it is, it's super so), a few archangel's rods, Rabadon and MP boots make him one mean kamikaze, quite capable of getting penta's with those pesky Requiems after death (and with those things, being near him when he dies kills you anyway). Just don't try this in a serious game, takes a crapton of gold.

Haven't played in a while, all my friends migrated to EU-West, but Jarvan IV was my favourite, then LeBlanc.
I read that more as a humorous dig at the game and community than specific aggression towards anybody. And while the tone was a bit heavy-handed, I can't argue with any of the points raised..No. said:

I was thinking of playing Evelynn because invisibility is cool (and my friend has already taken Akali, the bastard) but I don't believe i have ever seen her around... Not really a good sign when it comes to a champion's viability is it?
I hear a stun/slow nerf was applied.
Ryze is probably my overall favorite champion. He's good early and is absolutely insane late game. Since most of his damage comes from mana, you can stack tanky items that give mana and he will be pretty much unstoppable.
Kennen is also pretty fun to play because of spamming shurikens.
Teemo is fun too because of his amazing early game harass.

I enjoy Cho'Gath, Hecarim, Nocturne, Teemo, Gangplank, Wukong and Ryze. Those are the main champs i play as, and i'm decent. I also rotate Fizz in and out, trying to find a solid build with him that i enjoy. I love doing Bot games with a few close IRL friends, and i get the PVP bug occasionally, but sometimes... You get in a game with people you just can't play with. They kill steal, they mock your build in chat, they claim it's 'Their' team... Annoyances. I won't ragequit... no sir. I refuse to let em win

To be quite frank I don't normally play my favorite champion simply because he isn't viable. I tend to play AD carries so I tear through people. If you play the AD carry right then you aren't in range during a team fight to get polymorphed. So Lulu becomes pointless. The only time she really comes into play is when you win a team fight and are trying to get the people who are getting away polymorph and slow to get those that are running away.
Have to say Soraka and Gragas are easily my favorites. I love to play as a supporter and can easily end up having 20+ assists with my Soraka play style. When I play Gragas, I tend to play a little rough, but I´l make sure the enemies gets annoyed by the powerful barrels.

2nd close between pink taric and kassadin. Pink taric is pink and has fluffy boots. 'Nuf said. Kassadin because his Riftwalk is OP as hell.
