I apologise for the lack of thinking about any other games, but Half Life 2 is the one that stood out for me. I know there are other good games, that's why I said MAYBE.

To be honest, I forgot about Bioshock, and I did indeed love the story of that game. Bioshock 2 also looks amazing. Still don't believe the storyline of Modern Warfare 1 made much sense, but then again Modern Warfare 2's storyline was very, very confusing and left me asking a lot of questions. Modern Warfare makes up for the lack of story by making the levels just plain awesome. The Ghillies in the Mist and Cliffhanger missions are two of the best levels of any game I have ever played.

Once again, sorry for the lack of recognition towards Bioshock.

In HL2, the strider battle in the courtyard; I tried to hide behind an armoured car, and a strider came along and casually kicked it over, crushing me underneath. Depite dying, it was pretty hillarious.

Also HL2 Ep1- "He's a robot, he did the math...You did do the math, didn't you?"
Ironically Gordon should have done the math on that jump.
The best part is, according to the commentary, D0g shaking his head was originally just an incredibly well timed glitch. They kept it in when their playtesters thought it was intentional.

TF2: First time playing the game I was running around as a spy and a medic yells over the mic "COMMON SPY LETS DO THIS!!!" and he ubers me. I clearly had no clue wtf I was doing and I ran around just knifing people from the front, I ended up getting like 2 or 3 kills.

L4D1: Playing as a smoker on the finale of bloodharvest I was perched on the ledge from where the survivors leave the train and I did the cheap pull where if you pull the survivor long enough they can't be saved, they either die from the smoker or if released they fall to their death. The guys teammates actually tried to run up and melee me so I would release. The first guy epically fail and ended up falling to his death as he tried to melee. The second went too far over the ledge and ended up hanging. The third guy managed to shoot me down but the person I had fell to their death. My team was like ok cool only 2 left. A boomer rushes them, the guy shoots it and gets sent flying off the ledge to his death. Game over.

L4D2: My friends and I just got the game, tried to play through Dark Carnival on expert for our first shot at the game. We got to the creshendo in the 4th act where you have to run through the waves into the saferoom. All of a sudden Ellis starts telling the story about how his friend lived in a cemetery and got stabbed by a ghost who took his wallet. We all burst out laughing and ended up wiping right in front of the safe room. We never managed to get that far after like 5 more attempts.

Also another time I tried to beat that section, I was the only one to reach the safe room, I popped open the door and was like OMG YES I FINALLY MADE IT, I slammed that door shut and cheered, I then turned around and saw the charger behind me, one club with his stupid super arm and I was incapped. Hilarious for my friends, but I still haven't made it through Dark Carnival in one go, I've done it by doing quick matches, but sadly this is my last expert for still something to prove :\

GLaDOS: Have I lied to you? ... I mean, in this room?

GLaDOS: Maybe you should marry that thing since you love it so much. Do you want to marry it? WELL I WON'T LET YOU! How does that feel?

GLaDOS: There was even going to be a party for you. A big party, that all your friends were invited to. I invited your best friend, the Companion Cube. Of course, he couldn't come because you murdered him. All your other friends couldn't come either, because you don't have any other friends, because of how unlikable you are. It says so right here in your personnel file: "Unlikable. Liked by no one. A bitter, unlikable loner, whose passing shall not be mourned." Shall NOT be mourned. That's exactly what it says. Very formal. Very official. It also says you were adopted, so that's funny, too.

GLaDOS: While it has been a faithful companion, your Companion Cube cannot accompany you through the rest of the test. If it could talk - and the Enrichment Center takes this opportunity to remind you that it cannot - it would tell you to go on without it, because it would rather die in a fire than become a burden to you.

Each of these made me laugh so hard I had to pause for a while!
Ok, I know i might get burned on a stake for asking this, but who's Gabe?
Only the boss of Valve, the creator of Half Life, Half Life 2, Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. Oh, and also your biological father, but no-one is good enough for his sperm
He created them on his own? Wow, that's mad.
*looks up a picture of Gabe*

Yeah, he looks like that kind of guy.

Dude...seriously...that is pretty amazing for a first attempt. Closest I have ever got to completing an expert campaign was getting to the third act of Dead Center, and then the last guy alive got owned on the escalators to turn off the alarm. We all gave up at that point and called it a day. So many enemies made...
Seriously though, don't let Ellis distract you. Next time, kill him before that part. Wait, no. Reaperman will kill me for saying that. Keep him alive, just make sure you blot out his voice somehow. You, my dear friend, died on my favourite Left 4 Dead 2 part. The insanity of it all is why I love it so.

Me and my friend were playing L4D2 on the last level, and we managed to reach the helicopter, but the two AI teammates were still stuck on the bridge. We just decided to forget about them, but we realized we needed everyone at the chopper to finish. We had to fight three Tanks, several other Specials, and a ton of Common Infected while waiting for our them to die so we can finish the game. I made it with about ten health.
you know u could have just waited bout 2 minutes and the NPCs would have died? :p
shows ur attached to ur NPCs tho, and fair play fighting 3 tanks is pretty epic. i thought only 1 appeared on the bridge finale tho
No, you misread what I said. I did have to wait for them to die. It was hard as hell, too. We saw three tanks: one on the bridge and two near the helipad.

My favourite memory was putting off a shit-ton of essays and studying for exams to play and beat Portal. It was so very much worth it.

Sneaking through blast chamber while massive green tentacle-claws tap curiously on the walkways, waiting for you to make a sound.

Bioshock was a terrible game. I just couldn't get into it, and I'm glad I got it on sale. The best thing about it was the water effects.

The only good thing about it is that I have a friend named Andrew Ryan.

MW1 was good, and the storyline in both MW1 and MW2 ISN'T HARD TO FOLLOW!

MW2 is quite simple, Makarov plans a terrorist attack on a Russian airport, leaves a dead American there, Russia blames America for the attack and invades using information from a downed satellite to jam America's warning systems.

Shell casings used in the attack lead you to Brazil, where the weapons supplier tells you to free a certain prisoner, who may have more information. You then free Captain Price, in order to attempt to get Makarov, but General Shepherd turns on you, forcing Price and Soap to ignore Makarov and kill Shepherd.

Extremely simplified, but it took two paragraphs to explain the entire storyline.

But I digress.

He also has a song called 'Your Brains' which appears on the jukeboxes in Left 4 Dead 2, which is equally as good. Go on YouTube and listen
