Three way tie between Scyther, Kabutops and Haunter. They're all just awesome.

Favorite starter was Squirtle because he evolved into a cooler turtle that evolved into a giant turtle with cannons on it's back.

Favorite Pokemon besides starters is probably Scyther because it looks awesome or Mew because it's just so overpowered.

My first pokemon TGC card (the first I looked at, it was either a starter or booster pack) was an awesome looking yellow mouse thing. I quickly fell in love with it.
So I, soon after, hear whispers of a television show based on the same series as the cards were- lo! and behold- 'pikachu' was the main character. So, a little generic, but pikachu. If you forget about how mean it was to force you to rely on an electric type in a world where the first boss is anti-electric in every way, he was pretty good.

Raichu, it has always been my most reliable electric type Pokemon in all the Pokemon games, no matter which Pokemon generation I play I use Raichu.

Arcanine here. During my Fire Red run, I went through the trouble of catching a female Growlie so I could name it Shana. Its stat growth was awesome compared to the pathetic male one I caught before it. I should rename the male Yuji.
