These games still hold a special place in my gamer heart.
Pretty sure SMB3 was an NES game.

Mine's Super Metroid I think. Maybe R-Type III or Super Mario World.

It would either be Super Metroid, Super Mario Land 3 or Link to the Past for me, those games are legendary and will always be in my favourites.

I'm a bit confused then. If it wasn't a re-envisioning of SMB3 and just a remake (only the graphics have been updated in this case) that you're referring to, which it was 'cuz I have that cartridge, then should it really count as an SNES game?

By my definition, it wouldn't. Now the Bangai-O versions for the N64 and Dreamcast differ in gameplay despite being the same conceptual story and identical titles. The Dreamcast game is specifically a DC game while the N64 game is specifically an N64 game.

EDIT: I suppose I understand why you might feel otherwise.

Brutal: Paws of Fury. Great fighting game, funny characters, cool moves. It's a shame I don;t remember it much.

Link to the Past is not only my favortie SNES game but one of my top 5 of all time.

It was the first truly immersive experience in gaming and the world was huge, even by today's standards.

Add to that the solid, ultra fun gameplay plus tonnes to explore and discover and you've got a classic piece of gaming perfection.

i never personally had a snes cause i got the mega drive (yes im british) but after gettin hold of a snes emulator i found a game called E.V.O. the game played pretty much like a 2d side scrolling version of the creature stage in spore. i dont know what it was with this game but it had me completely hooked.

i completely agree that it is a NES game but the person that posted it as a SNES game may not be old enough to remember the glorious days of NES. SMB3 did come out 20 years ago. god i feel old now

btw, mario 2 was a nes game.
Was the SNES backwards compatible then? because the SNES was the first console I ever played and it was definitely 2 =/
Mario allstars was for the snes, it had the first second and third mario...
Maybe that's where you played it.
Edit: it was already answered -.-"
mmm... I loved the whole Donkey Kong series, it was so good...
Most games in the snes kicked ass. I miss their simplicity and awesomeness. ^^
Now you can only get those kinds of games out of indie developers, and most of them are not as good.

Soul Blader! Whoops, forgot about Majyuuou! And aagin, I forgot about my all time favorite Romancing Saga 3. I never owned a SNES I only had a Super Famicom.
