I'm going to exclude Batman from my answer, as it is obvious and, he really isn't super powered.
That said, I'll go with Spiderman.
I got into him during the Gwen Stacy Clone saga. He was a good decent character, powerful like Superman but vulnerable like Batman. He has some of the most colorful villains of any major character.
Probably Darkclaw, simply due to the fact that he might be the most unbeatable guy ever.

I am just going to say either Alex Mercer or the guy from inFamous.
They aren't that good as superheroes (and Mercer is basically the love child of the pure concept of genocide and the nuclear bomb), but I am able to control each of them, and all the real superheroes that came off the top of my head have been taken.

I don't know that I can pick "one" superhero that I like the best, but I do have a list.
Here it is, ( note: the numerical order of the names, does not constitute favoritism)
1. Batman
2. Spiderman
3. Deadpool
4. Spawn
5. Daredevil
6. Nightwing
I guess that will have to do, for now. As I wrote that list, I had only to look left or right to see any number of countless comics featuring those heros. I have other comics, but books featuring the heros on the list, outnumber all the rest. Evidently, these are my favorites.

Hard choice. Spidey's the childhood favourite, but Rorschach's awesome, and I've grown to become a fan of the hulk. Especially the recent (ish) incredible hulk film, the one with Edward Norton that concentrated on being fun as hell, not the earlier kinda emo-ish Eric Bana attempt.

Part of me wants to say Spawn, and then I remember every time I spend money on the start of a collection Todd McFarlane decides to start from Issue 1 AGAIN. So, in light of my annoyance, I'm gonna say Lobster Johnson. Which I really hope counts.
