Favourite Video Game hero's/villains

My favorite hero would have to be Gordon Freeman. He doesn't say anything and because of that he is the best.
Heroes:
The silent MIT graduate with a crowbar and a HEV suit.
The plamsma sword wielding, bionic suit wearing, elite alien soldier (and captain of his own ship).
The hero dressed in green.
The daughter of the mana godess.
The forgotten earth adept from vale village.
Villans:
The legally insane AI of arpeture science enrichment center.
The space/time manipulating buisness man.
The ancient sentient mask of pure evil.
The evil king of theives from the desert wastelands.
The sorcerer of wind.
The one who will paint upon his canvas whatever he see fit.
The 13th, his perfect creation.

okay first up favourite hero:
Squall-ff8 as he really grows as a character but he also remains a strong character. I like my main character to be strong improtant one not some weak guy who has to watch everyone else save his ass.
Honourable mention: Hopefully Sev from killzone 2 will be up here on my list, as the game is shaping up to be epic.
Villans: The Helghast from killzone as is there an army of guys who are as cool and badass as the helghast. They look cool, They sound cool, If anyone has played the demo of kz2 they will understand that the helghast should aply to mensa. They also slaughter anything they can.
Honourable mentions goes to sephiroth as god damn is he bad ass

The fact that people keep saying "do I really even need to say" strikes me as them not being able to come up with reasoning behind their choices. Its kind of funny.
My favorite main protagonists would include:
Ramza Beoulve - The naive kid who wants everyone in the world o love everyone. He's completely awesome and is completely unrecognized by the world as a hero. If he was a celebrated hero it would've taken so much from his character and from the plot of FFT.
Earthworm Jim - He's a freakin' worm in a big supersuit. He flies through the stars fighting the some of the stupidest villains ever. And does it with style.
Manny Calavera - A travel agent in the land of the dead who must leave behind his job to hunt a conspiracy. Friends with a giant orange demon. Classy suits. What's not to like?
Villains:
Vormav - He's the puppeteer's puppeteer and remains a ruthless and completely fucked man. He killed his own son and was pretty close to killing his own daughter. His purple robes were also pretty cool.

Dormin - A manipulative pseudo-god who gets you to release him, truly a demon of darkness, upon the world by slaying those that were set up to imprison him.

As for heroes: Fox McCloud and Claude. They'll do fine.

Old Snake - Erm, 'microwave tunnel', anyone? The man just won't quit. Unless you mean quit smoking.
Nariko (Heavenly Sword) - Brash, arrogant and driven by revenge. She kicks arse and is also quite hot.
Cloud - I know people tend to bash old 'spikey', but FF7 and Crisis Core show that he has real depth to him as a character. That, and he has a sword as big as a family car.
Villains:
Paxton Fettel - A telepathic cannibal with a cool voice and a bitching leather jacket. The best thing about the original FEAR.
Saren - Misguided, intelligent and cold. Also has a robot army and positive view on personal improvement (via bionics of course).

Yeah old snake is a monster.... this and extra thought is making me want to rewrite my list to add more...Veralius said:
