so people of the escapist
has there ever been a moment in a game that has ever been so mind-blowingly epic that it turns the game to sheer gold, even if it is just for a moment that made an impact on your life forever?
or is there just a bit on a game that you particularly enjoyed because how realistic the combat was and the adrenaline really got pumping through your veins. or maybe you're favourite moment is the first time you slice an enemy to bits with a chainsaw on GoW.
any way my personal favourite was when I first stepped out of the vault on fallout 3, it made the world seem so large and it massively contrasted with the small corridors you had been fighting down for the last half hour of your life. it was the bit of spectical that new Vegas and the elder scrolls cant match, yes oblivion has a bit at the beginning where you are in a prison cell and you have to stop the king getting assassinated but you can blast through it in about ten seconds especially if you use magic. also in oblivion you have a large, clear goal that actually seemed to matter, which subtracted from the feeling of opportunity. personally I just wandered in the opposite direction to where I was supposed to ask about my dad and still managed to find myself in rivet city about 3 hours in.
