But in all seriousness, the Big Daddy sounds are all, I don't know... right. I wouldn't be able to picture him any other way. The heavy footsteps and the whale like moan... great for setting the mood at those late night gaming sessions

The assault rifle from Unreal 2, its makes a kind of buzzing mini-gun style noise when fired, but spacey and futuristic!!!

Thats where the "taken out of context" part comes into play

Imagine going up to a total stranger and telling them you love the moaning of a Big Daddy on the prowl. At the very least you'd get some odd looks, at worst you'd be locked up as a sex offender

I'm gonna go with a lot of the sounds in the Halo universe, none more so than the triumphant roar of an elite warrior as he unleashes and slashes with the energy sword.

EDIT: Also the lasers from Mass Effect and the little moments of 1930-40's Jazz music you hear in Bioshock.

The kamikazees from Serious Sam. Just a bunch of headless men screaming somehow.

It's probably my favourite sound, well, I can't really think of anything else except the Doom2 super shotgun sound.

I finished Serious Sam The Second Encounter(gamecube version) in a day, and 2 weeks later I still heard the screaming in almost every background noise.

Laser rifle in fallout 3 when its lead to someone disintegrating. Or when you get the blue shield from the Genesis Sonic games (extra lives/100 rings also deserve a mention). It's like a KWOW sound... Does that make sense?

Most of the sounds the guns make in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

Oh and the sounds and lines the Grunts from the Halo series make.
