Saying that shielding the screen is terrorism is going a little far. Going out of your way to hide your IP address is a little suspicious. And using encryption at an internet cafe is too, though using it when you're paying bills and ect. at home or at work is perfectly reasonable. that's my $0.02

Really?
.......

And I use encryption regularly and Im not a fucking terrorist.
Or maybe you are!!! DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!

People who want privacy aren't terrorists, they just don't want people knowing how much porn they're watching.

I play MMO's. I must then talk to other players thus according to the FBI I am a terrorist
and must be stopped from finishing a dungeon before the unthinkable happens.

This country has truly lost its fucking mind.

"Terrorism" and "piracy" have become the new "communism"; a blanket term for someone doing anything the government doesn't like, a scare tactic to try to shock people who don't jump when they say so into line. And now it's actually gone so far as to put that mindset toward people who want some privacy. "Guilty until proven innocent" has truly become the prevalent mindset.

Put another way, "Go fuck yourselves, FBI."

Flyer included in the above link!
Not sure if literate.

Sorry, but they didn't brand internet privacy as terrorism. They indicated that in an internet cafe, overt concern about privacy (in this public setting) might be an indicator of suspicious activity.

Of course, if your intent was merely to rile people up, you succeeded. If you legitimately believe this, though, I am seriously concerned about your comprehension skills.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard all weak, no, make it all month.
I hate it when someone says "when you don't do anything illegal, then there is no reason why we shouldn't be allowed to monitor your every move"
it's just stupid and horribly flawed logic.
What would they say if I just put cameras everywhere in their house? they don't have anything illegal, so it's not bad is it?

Won't even start on the use of the word "terrorist".
Just curious, did you actually read the flyer? It's nowhere near as sinister as you make it out to be.

This is the best rebuttal I've seen in awhile.

Or I grew up with an incredibly intelligent and passive aggressive father who could anything as leverage to fuck with us, as well as a mother with trust issues because of her parents, then my father...
And then my health issues, which often manifest themselves as super PMS, and my PMS involves feeling paranoid.

No, I'm not plotting the downfall of the US, I'm just coping with a deep seated fear that someone IRL is going to find out that I have +7000 posts on a gaming website.

Edit: 8000? Jesus Christ...

And throw in some mind readers, and then you have one of those personality quiz questions from The Elder Scrolls.

Oh how pathetic that they've been using the "looming threat of terrorism" as a scare tactic, How can people be so ignorant and not realize this? I think we should put together a study to figure out if the american government is responsible for the majority of terrorism in the US.

Gee, look at the time. 1984 already.
[sub]if someone here knows who said that you'll make me a happy panda.[/sub]

So does this mean that the US government is going control crazy again like back in the Cold War? Or legitimately scared that they really pissed its people off?

I don't know if it's gone that far, but I'd wager with a relative certainty that our government has gone out of its way to shake people up more than anyone in the middle east could ever dream to. Even what they've ascribed to them was ridiculously suspicious; we can't even be sure Bin Laden as he was presented to us actually existed.

Seriously, these last few years have had "shady movie villain" written all over them when it comes to how the American government has been behaving. It's become surreal.

I'm using an anonymous username, obviously I'm a terrorist because I don't want the entire world to know exactly where I live.

Also, aren't these bills actually terrorism themselves? They're threatening essentially everyone, labeling them terrorists, to make them cooperate - that is the exact definition of terrorism. By now I shouldn't be surprised by USA's hypocrisy, though, should I?

It's been over 10 years, guys. Get over it. Grow the fuck up and stop this redundant paranoia and fear-mongering.

More proven hypocrisy :D

EDIT: After reading over it closer, instead of skimming, I found this hilarious:
Download content of extreme/radical nature with violent themes.
People, if you're watching something violent, you're a TERRORIST!
