Yeah, it's looks the usual stuff, they can't do anything useful to jsutify spending more than half their budget on chasing unicorns, so someone has this great idea which sounds fine but turns out to be completely useless at best, or a fucking disaster at worst, when examined more closely.
Similarly, they'd get people at airports to pick out passengers that looked nervous or afraid of the security. Meaning if you are afraid of TSA abuse, you should be...though if you're not you might not have anything to worry about, I guess.

Got to love how the good old US of A is so quick to label people as a terrorist to make the masses agree with what their government does. It's a word meant to instill fear and panic into the masses but the way they are watering down the word a little too much now. \

Not too long ago I had actually considered emigrating to the US. You know, live the American dream and all that. (LOL)
But considering the amount of crap the US has been flinging at the rest of the world. I've already started looking at real estate ratings in Canada and Australia. I thought about the UK as well, but then I looked inside my wardrobe and saw 6 different hooded sweat shirts and I decided against it.

I wonder if I can cut a deal with the FBI by handing over a few million other terrorists and walk away from this terror conviction with a warning? It might not be online, but it's a wish for privacy and when I even want it when I'm not online I have to be a terrorist. I also don't want to share my Facebook profile with people I'm not friends with. I'm in deep trouble if I can't get that deal...

This is just....misplaced. The "identifiers" are of use to government intel analysts who would already be working the target, and already know these things as fundamentals, not to the everyday average person.
The average Cafe-goer is not going to know if someone using the computer lives far away or close by, they are not going to know if someone "always pays in cash or a credit card of the different name", or alot of the things this list says. Although, the things in the "what they use the computer to look up" list is horribly obvious and a no-brainer. Someone looking up terrorist literature or chem/bio information could be a terrorist? REALLY?!?!

This is in almost direct contravention of the Fourth Amendement for one thing, which does make me chuckle at how Americans will bleat so much about their guns being taken away, but when the rights of privacy and freedom are impinged a whole bunch of you will stand behind the decision as long as the govenrment bullshits effectively enough.
America would let the government have the right to random searches of property, persons, papers and effects without probable cause before they will let them take their handguns away. Now that seems like a lovely place to live.
