Movie: Eraserhead
I have to ask - do you seriously enjoy "Eraserhead" more than every other movie you've ever seen? I'm not denying that Eraserhead is a great film, but your favourite? REALLY? I apologize if this question strikes you as redundant - different strokes for different folks and all that, but every other movie I've seen so far is more or less understandable, whereas Eraserhead...well, that's a film in a league of its own.

Yeah, there's no way I'm picking just one of these. Rather, I will put together a Top 5 list for each. In no particular order, for obvious reasons.

MOVIES
-V for Vendetta
-Inception
-The Prestige
-Nolan's Batman movies (counts as one)
-Gangs of New York

EMERGENCY RUNNERS-UP
-LOTR, Horrible Bosses, Moon, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, X-Men: First Class, and probably millions of others.

TV SHOWS
-Dexter
-Breaking Bad
-Dr. Who
-Lost
-The Shield

EMERGENCY RUNNERS-UP
-How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, The Office, Community, Red Vs Blue, Battlestar Galactica (the good one, obviously), Scrubs, Modern Family, Fringe, and probably millions of others.

VIDEO GAMES
-Portal 2
-Mass Effect Series
-Bioshock
-Uncharted Series
-Halo Series

EMERGENCY RUNNERS-UP
-Elder Scrolls series, Assassin's Creed series, Call of Duty series, Half Life Series.

FOOD
-Village Pizza(local place) with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives.
That's it, actually.

Books
-Pendragon, D.J Machale (series I read as a kid, totally holds up)
-A Song of Ice and Fire, George RR Martin
-Inheritance Cycle, Christopher Paolini
-Under the Dome, Stephen King
-The Taking, Dean Koontz

Huh. That was weirdly kinda fun, actually.

PS: Some of you, I'm not gonna say who, should be ashamed of your choices.

You just answered your own question: because it's in a league of it's own. The reason I love Eraserhead so much is how little sense it makes. I've seen a lot of movies that don't make any sense meaning that they're hard to follow, but Eraserhead truly and honestly makes no sense at all. Every single minute of that movie has been etched into my mind forever. Any movie that can make that type of impact on me deserves my favoritism. I can understand why you would be a bit surprised at my choice, and I'm sure that there are probably better movies out there. But, out of all of the movies I've seen, none have effected me as much as Eraserhead.

I'm right there with you in terms of Eraserhead's affect; I've only seen the movie twice, but I can safely say that no movie has made me feel more uncomfortable or uneasy than Eraserhead did the first time I watched it - although some would hate the movie for that, I admire the film for being able to have such a pronounced impact on me as a viewer.

If you're interested, I'd highly recommend you watch the film "Tetsuo: Man of Iron" - it's an absolutely bizarre Japanese film which is akin to Eraserhead on steroids. Since you're clearly a lover of the deranged and nonsensical, I have a feeling you'd enjoy it.
