It's because games developers think that men are so shallow they won't buy games with images of real women in. That's ridiculous. And isn't helping those of us who are already worried we won't get a guy because we don't look like a model.
What do you mean real women? I say fuck it, if "real man" is a muscular, witty, funny and heroic tough guy I try to be, then real woman is a supermodel with D cups and and waist no wider than the palm of my hand. Why the double standards? Go the gym.
You really are hoping for an "asshole of the year" award aren't you?
Not just hoping for, he's earned it too.
I think people are being a little harsh on Kukul. He wasnt the most eloquent so Ill try and translate what I see in his post.
Women in videogames are fantasy figures, as are the men. Thats why they have flawless bodies. It works with men too. Check out Chris Redfield. Hes got some guns on him. It doesnt make me envious or think that its the norm.
Its no different than film/TV/cinema which is filled with attractive people with good bodies. Normality is boring, its with you every day. You can go outside to see plenty of average looking people with squashy bodies. The biggest difference is Games dont have actors with physical flaws, no wonder it went one step further.
If you really want that body you can get somewhere close through diet and exercise. Im not "ripped" even though I train martial arts 3 times a week. I could be but it would involve going to the gym every day and eating about 8 meals a day. Its a lifestyle change but possible. Im happy as I am though, Im healthy, fit and slim.
To conclude, not all games are like this. You dont even see Samus's eyes on metroid, never mind a flash of leg/tit. Be happy in your skin, if you dont like what you see, play different games or take it for what it is. Fantasy.
Theres always the gym and healthy eating if your not happy with your appearance. I warn you though, its a change in lifestyle.
