FFVII (again, sorry) vs Dissidia

On Dissidia I also thought some character picks were iffy mainly Ultimecia instead of Seifer and Jecht instead of Seymour.

I just hope there's a sequel WITH more support characters (Tifa vs Zell or Shadow vs Auron), and main characters from non-main series titles like Marche vs Llednar.

Dissidia is easily one of the top games on my PSP, and one of my favorite games in general. I really wish other people would make games in the same style of gameplay, it's a really fun way of doing things.

Try the DBZ: Budokai games. Very similar style.

I tried those, they weren't really all that similar to me. The only game I've played that actually was noticeably similar to Dissidia was Virtual On, back in the arcades.

Actually, Budokai 1 - 3 were more like Tekken-style side-on 3D.
Budokai Tenkaichi series were more like Dissidia.

I like Dissidia because my flatmate and I both have it, and can play against one another so my Sephiroth can beat her much higher levelled and better equipped Cloud. We got the game about the same time I got Arkham Asylum and Brutal Legend, and Assassin's Creed 2 followed not too much later. She played Dissidia while I played everything else.

Loving the Soul Eater avatar - sad the anime ended poorly

I saw dissidia before and thought it looked petty good but PSP part just ruins it for me. I'd have loved to see it on PS2 or something

Riddle me this Escapists...

Ok, it's not a riddle but here's something that's been bugging me. Why is it that this love of FFVII and the desire for a remake keeps rolling even in the wake of some extraordinary fan service from Square? (Despite some stinking turds such as FFXIII)

No-one ever seems to be have any love for Dissidia. I mean, come on, you can beat up Tidus. That's gotta be worth playing.

So, my question is. How many people have actually played it, and what did you think of it?

I like Tidus better than the other characters
