See, you totally missed the point: we're supposed to post characters we're horrified to be attracted to. This isn't an "OMG isnt that intentionally attractive mainstream character totally HAWT?!" discussion because it's nothing to be concerned about.

Granted, all of the pedophilia is a bit...erm, unsettling, but Japan has made quite an industry around young girls and many of the under 30 crowd on here grew up on at the least the fringe of that industry with sailor moon, other anime, and the Japanese video game industry in all its horror and glory. Remember, most western cultures prize sexual power and purity, both of which are closely tied to youth. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending pedo behavior, but I'm more worried about the social system at large than the members.

A reoccurring theme for me for characters that I often find hot but maybe shouldn't is alien characters. I found Kerrigan in Starcraft so. Very. Attractive. When she was 'infested' both in attitude and in appearance. The locust queen from Gears of War too.


Oh and Ill second Misson Vao. She's more than a little annoying at times herself, but in the end shes a big sweetheart. Colour me a pedo I guess - though honestly she shares the same model as other twi'lek females in the game, so I don't see it being that big a deal.
