Fictional Deaths that you mourned (warning, possible spoilers)

Who are some fictional characters that you missed when they died? I know they're only fiction but sometimes we grow attached to characters like Master Chief and Harry Potter and we don't want to see them die.

I just finished a Sandman Book (just so people won't throw a fit I won't say which) and Dream died at the end. I was very, er, shocked and upset. Although he isn't the first fictional character to take a dirt nap (pardon the pun), he's the only one I can think of right now.

So, I pose the question to you, fellow escapists, what are some fictional characters that YOU miss?

Walnut's death in Phantom Brave saddened me quite a bit, because he'd basically spent the entire game getting shat upon by the plot. Then he's killed.

Sirius Black died in Harry Potter. I was literally in tears and was so angry at JK Rowling. Not one tear fell for Dumbledore though.

when you are playing as the woman in the Shadow Dancer veritech riding suit, and you get ambushed by the invid queen. Guppy jumps in front of you and DIES for you, totally obliterated. didn't even hesitate. she just DIES.

Sotha Sil from Morrowind, just cause he seemed very interesting but I never got a chance to talk with him. Almalexia suffered for his death though, and her soul remains my trophy. >

Sulik in Fallout 2. After a lengthy quest stretching over two years in the Wasteland (in-game), Sulik and I made our way back to the dying village of Arroyo, the GECK in hand. About a month away from our destination, we were ambushed by a gang of rogue Centaurs and Floaters. Sulik - the aggressive fool that he was - ran into the foray, sledgehammer swinging at the dozen or so mutants.

He was eviscerated by them within a turn. Poor, poor Sulik. And I never found his sister.
