The Doctor (Mcsexypants #10 to be precise), no question at all.

In fact this actually came up in conversation with a previous girlfriend, and though it did hit an awkward tone here and there, it was mutually decided upon that, in the unlikely event of the TARDIS materialising in front of us while walking together, the relationship would be declared void and may the best boy/girl win.

Beyond that, I guess I should mention that Celes Chere and Kitty Pryde might be able to do the same.

I will try to avoid live-action characters because I think any attraction I have to them is probably more towards the actress playing them.

In no specific order (really it is just the order that I thought of them in):

There's a couple I'm sure. I'm thinking Celes from Final Fantasy 3/6. She can suck up any magic attacks thrown at me, she's a caregiver and seems so fragile and strong at the same time it just melts the heart. not like that freak half breed Terra. Just get that dirty bandit Locke out of the way and we're golden! After you save the world it's time to settle down with a good, caring and honest man...and I'm close enough.

Not a terribly original answer, but if Alyx Vance was on the market, I'd swoop on her like an owl on a field mouse. She's outdoorsy, athletic, extroverted, confident, highly competent, and seems both stable and independent enough to avoid being clingy or needy. She seems to be the type that would be into most of the things I enjoy (hiking, biking, gym-ratting, shooting sports, might even share my taste in music if lightning strikes thrice). She's also got the whole mixed-race thing going on, which is nice but is really just a small bonus* in the grand scheme of things.
