So, I've just started doing morning runs (again), and discovered that the best way to run just a few more steps is to ask myself "would Akihiko Sanada stop?". And I know he wouldn't, so I run just a little bit more. For those of you who don't know, Akihiko Sanada is one of main characters of Persona 3. He's strong, humble, protective and caring person, who wishes to become more powerful and trained in order to protect those he cares about. What's not to aspire to?
PS: I know it's kinda fitting that my profile picture is Chie
TLDR: is there any fictional person from game, movie, comics etc, that you wish to become more like?

Cave Johnson.
We're done here.

No, seriously. The man gets things done. I've always had the problem of planning too much or thinking that once the idea is there, it'll all be alright. Actualy following through with an idea has always been hard for me. A bit less thinking and more doing in life wouldn't hurt me.

Goku. The man's (well saiyan, but whatever) pretty much the perfect person. He's kind, brave, stands up for others, and otherwise loves eating and laughing. If that's not a good life, I don't know what is.

Well, I really want to be like the Dude in the sense that It would be more pleasant to be content in my laziness like he is rather than worry all the time that I'm not being productive enough or am wasting my time. Optimally though it would be better for myself and everyone if I was as productive as I worry I'm not and not get exhausted by the thought of doing anything at all.

Someboduy like Dimentio from Paper Mario. Who would have thought a children's video game character would be such a great schemer?
Hang around in the background of the plot until the last moment, then make that last moment yours.

Failing that Varys from Game of Thrones, why have your own moment of glory when you could have everybody else's?

Rune Balot - Despite being abused by her father, having a man she cared about attempt to murder her and people trying to kill her just for what she knows. She does not fight for revenge, doesn't try and destroy those who would happily destroy her, even though she is more than capable of doing so. She chooses to fight to bring them to justice, and to free herself from her past, so that she can have a future of her own.

Eddard Stark - A man of his convictions. He is honourable, caring, skilled at what he does, and has no interest in petty politics. Inspires loyalty, is a good parent and holds himself to the same standard that he holds others. But he also doesn't mince words or coddle, he is realistic and does what needs to be done.

Commander Shepard, biggest space badass ever.
Talented fighter and diplomat, suave enough to get any woman, takes no shit from whoever pisses him off, saviour of the galaxy.

Alternatively, Zaeed Massani for having an amazing voice and killing whatever dares to look at him funny.

The Doctor. I always try to make decisions the way he would, and I actually think he's the biggest role model I've ever had in life.

Roland Deschain. Born leader, and intricately knows how people work. He's a master of logic. Brave, and above all skilled. When he sets out to do something, he's merciless about it, and fights at the peak of human ability to such a degree, it's practically a super power.

Baloo from the Jungle Book. He's the most relaxed, chilled out bear, and I love his attitude towards life.

"No-Bark" Noonan.

I'm still working on getting that spell to get those bears to show their true forms.

Renton from Trainspotting.

Without the sex with a 14 year old, and the heroin addiction, and the horrible friends.
So, basically just a scottish guy.

Talon Karrde. Listening to the sequel audio casetts as a kid introduced me to the word sardonic, one that has shaped me to this day

I thought the underaged sex, heroin, and horrible friends were part of being Scottish?

OT: Similar to the OP, a character from a Persona game.

I dunno, something about Yosuke kind of resonates with me. He's not as dedicated as Akihiko, not as brave as Yu, not as smart as Naoto, but he does what he thinks is right even when confronted with all these realizations. Plus, he has a good sense of loyalty and tries a sense to humour to diffuse conflicts, I have a kind of similar mindset.

Also Lee Everett. Just because.

Prospero from The Tempest (Shakespeare). That takes a lot of explaination, so I won't give any.

And from video games, I guess... Knight Artorias from Dark Souls. He sacrificed himself to hold back the Dark, even though it will ultimately prove futile. Also, he has an "unbendable will of steel". So that's cool too.

Po AKA Kung-fu panda. He is fat, cluless, unfit, adopted and all around despised by everyone at first sight. But he never gives up and overcomes his problems and weaknesses.

The most important thing is that he never comprimised his personality in the process. Not corrupted by power, not jaded by humiliations and not depressed by failures. He has a damn heart of gold. Also he is a walking symbole of Ying-Yang which is always a plus.

Yang Wenli, from Legend of the Galactic Heroes. He gets shit done better than anyone else, but he's still the most chill dude in the galaxy, and only plays at war at all so he can eventually retire and live off his pension.

I second this too. Although I know I'll never be like him, I certainly wish I could be.
