I would love to be like Edward Bloom from Big Fish, he's charming, ambitious, decided, funny and devoted. He's an amazing man and a great story-teller and I do actively try to act like he would. In a word I would say he's just very confident.

I try to be a mix between Light Yagami from Death Note, and The Doctor from Doctor Who. Specifically pre-L's death Light, and the 10th Doctor.

Aspire to be like?

I AM the Doctor! XD

Seriously, though. I think one of the reasons I love that shoe so much is because the Doctor reminds me of myself to an uncanny degree, if you would remove the time traveling blue box, immortality, and insane intellect.

Socially obtuse? Check
Really clever? Check
Having a bizarre sense of empathy and a need to help people? Check
A fascination for History and Science? Check
Having people ask me if I'm aware that I'm a bit "weird"? Check
A desire to solve conflicts using words and thinking rather than fisticuffs? Check
Having a moral compass that pisses some people off and endears to other people? Check
An ability to solve problems that stump other people, then casually "swagger" off, leaving them thinking "How the hell did he do that?!"? Check! XD

I definitely could of ended up worse.

I used to want to be like Squall Leonhart, until I realized that being cold and dismissive towards everybody isn't going to endear you to anyone. Not even if you do have fabulous hair.

I always wanted to be like the protagonists in all the Michael Crichton books I read. They were always super smart people who went on adventures and had cool jobs and academic backgrounds. God, I'm so cool.

Also Eek the Cat, because it never hurts to help.

I know it isn't healthy, I know its "wrong" and that ultimately I'd be dooming myself to a life of unhappiness but...

I've always wanted to know what its like to save someone's life and I respect Emiya Shirou's - Unlimited Blade Works route that is - conviction to an ideal of being a hero even if it would only be damaging to himself, no matter what anyone says. He chose his way of life and stuck by it when it was challenged, and I respect that and I aspire to someday do the same.

No, seriously. The man gets things done. I've always had the problem of planning too much or thinking that once the idea is there, it'll all be alright. Actualy following through with an idea has always been hard for me. A bit less thinking and more doing in life wouldn't hurt me.
Damn straight. Not to mention his absolute faith in his actions, damn the consequences, is certainly a trait we can aspire to. Crippling doubt about one's actions really is not productive in the slightest and often is pointless, as things either work out or they don't, and we just gotta deal with the consequences. That's just how life goes.

P.S. It certainly is convenient how my first initial lines up with his first name phonetically, don't you think? Same last name could be counted, but it's so generic it applies to enough people to not be special in any way.

Kamina.
I don't aspire to BE like him, more along the lines of Thinking like him.
Like, I try not to take anything bad that happens in my life as something to bring me down, but rather a challenge.

"OI OI OI OI OI OI! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!"

I tell myself, how would Kamina react to these news/this weather/this assignment?
^_^it actually works quite well. :)

(oh and for those of you who don't know who Kamina is...
-snip-
Pretty much sums up what I was going to post, haha. Still it feels pretty wrong aspiring to be kind of like him though, since he's completely against people doing that if you look at the way he treated Simon. He's still got a kick-ass lookout on life though, one definitely worth applying to one's own life.

Captcha: Top Dog. Damn right he is, captcha, damn right.

Sherlock Holmes, mostly the Benedict Cumberbatch version, only a version of him with a bit more empathy in him, kind of like a cross between him and The Doctor. I'd just love to have his intellect and outlook, but also some of The Doctor's empathy and ability to negotiate, that would be my favorite kind of person to be.

Aya Brea

because i want to be that pimp...

also, super-powers based on human evolution, and despite my fears of what i can and may become knowing its better to protect humanity and the future of those i will probably never know... because it doesn't matter if they 'know' i saved the world, what matters is that i 'did'.

What? Don't look at me like that. She's intelligent, motivated, talented, organised and happy. Plus she lives in a library and has a dragon for an assistant.

I could probably do without, well,

but I don't mind putting up with a little crippling insanity, or rather, a little more crippling insanity.

A successfull (and sane) Andrew Ryan?
If you remove all the despotism, insanity and hatred from him, you get a competent and sensible leader.
The same could apply to any despot, though.

Cave Johnson is awesome, true, but chugging a glass of liquified moon rocks isn't exactly a sign of sanity. Or common sense, for that matter.

Oh yeah the guy was nuts, no question, though that's why we aspire to be similar to him with respect to is positive qualities, and not his batshit insanity and poor business sense.

I wanted to be Zefram Cochrane from Star Trek. I really dig the whole mad scientist/engineer thing he's got going, and I really like the ambling towards a better humanity as long as it takes us past a sweet pay check in the way. Plus at the end of the day being portrayed by James Cromwell would be totally awesome.

I'm not really aspiring to be like him (since I'm me and he's, you know, fictional), but I've snatched the TF2 Sniper's work ethics.

Exactly! See, capatcha knows what it's talking about.

Oooh good question.

As a kid my hero was Conan. I wanted to be like him as I grew up but, y'know, real life requires a bit more diplomatic manners than Conan had, and that despite my [shameless pride] impressive physique [/shameless pride] I can't rely on sheer brute force when bravado and threats fail in the real world.

It's not that I'm not confident - I am very confident - but Conan is Conanfident.
