Depends on how you look at it, the Blacklight virus itself is a weapon and it causes those abilities to become available. The blade, hammers etc are obviously weapons but shape-shifting can also be used as a tool to accomplish a goal which is to harm to something, which is the basic definition of a weapon.kommando367 said:The virus itself is a weapon. Alex's powers on the other hand are technically classified as abilities and not a weapon. An individual tool (like his blade or whipfist) could be a weapon, but not the entire shape-shifting capability.xitel said:kommando367 said:That is an ability, not a weapon.xitel said:Without a shadow of a doubt, I would want the virus from [PROTOTYPE]. The ability to reconfigure my molecular and biological structure at will, including my clothing, and to heal myself by absorbing other living creatures? Hell yes, please, with a side order of fries. It most certainly is. IT is a "weaponized virus". Weaponized, meaning turned into a weapon. Just because it's a biological weapon and not a technological one, doesn't make it any less of a weapon. That would be like saying anthrax isn't a weapon, or potassium chloride.zauxz said:Thats not a weapon.xitel said:And the vorpla blade went Snipper Snip
The way I see it, the only actual weapon is the weapon itself, not the ability that creates that weapon.traceur_ said:Depends on how you look at it, the Blacklight virus itself is a weapon and it causes those abilities to become available. Because the Blacklight virus is Alex, it copied him down to the genetic level (and kinda possessed him I think since there's no mention of two bodies, so it must have taken over Alex's body) after Alex was killed after releasing the Blacklight virus at Penn Station, the virus can change it's shape to fashion it's limbs into weapons, it really is a weapon. If it took over Alex's body after he died then really it's as much a weapon as a mech suit.
Well seeing as the weapon is what endows one with those abilities, they go hand in hand.kommando367 said:The way I see it, the only actual weapon is the weapon itself, not the ability that creates that weapon.traceur_ said:Depends on how you look at it, the Blacklight virus itself is a weapon and it causes those abilities to become available.
