This is all started after watchin Burn After Reading. The back of the box says something like "laugh out loud hillarious" and yet I thought it was witty but far from this.
Also I have to say I enjoyed Doom. Ok not the best film in the world but didn't deserve all the hate it got.

What films spring to your mind then?

Hmm, well I don't think most critics thought too much of M.Night Shayamalan's "the village", I adored that film though, could watch it again and again.
Also I love the Pirates of the carribean films, all three.

Why was The Chronicles of Riddick bad? Hmmm... At one point he outruns the sun. He outruns the sun. Riddick's major plan of attack is: get captured... and then win? And they forced Judi Dench to be in it.

Oh, but I love big, stupid action movies that know they're big and stupid. Predator is one of my favorite movies ever.

Personally, the big one for me is Dead-Alive, though now that old-school (70s and 80s) horror has become in vogue again, all the critics love it. Bad Taste was cool, too. Sadly, for the people who actually watched all the old DTV horror films (of which I love almost all of them)...the resurgence of older horror throwbacks is doing it wrong.

I actually REALLY enjoyed Terminator: Salvation and X-Men 3. I find myself having to defend both of those frequently.

Bad Boys I + II. I don't care if it's typical Michael Bay, those movies are pure fun!

On the flip side, everyone seemed to love Let the Right One In, but I couldn't get through it - I pulled out the DVD at twenty minutes. It was the most misinformed direction a vampire film could take. [small]Save for Twilight[/small]
