The fight in Terminator 3 is pretty awesome. No finesse, no jumping around, no ninjas. Its just two people trading blows and smashing each other through walls and into toilets.

For sheer entertaining comedy you've got to love Darcy vs Cleaver in Bridget Jones's Diary. I mean, that's basically a slightly exaggerated version of every real fight between sober people I've ever seen, right there.

A slightly different take on comedy fight scene, Indiana Jones vs The Unfortunate Egyptian Swordsman. Various apocryphal stories tell us what, in particular, was supposed to be wrong with him, but the fight choreography tells us for a fact that there was supposed to be a vicious punchup there but Harrison Ford felt too diseased/food poisoned/tired/tortured by raging hemorrhoids to do the scene. And you know what? The punchup just wouldn't have been as cool.

Wait... people actually liked Troy? The one with Brad Pitt? Really? Well, I guess everyone's got different taste...

But that scene for The Bourne Ultimatum where he kicked that guy's ass with a book was great. Matt Damon is surprisingly hardcore throughout the whole trilogy, seriously.

The fight between the Spaniard and the pirate. Free cookie to whoever can name the movie. And disappointment to those who can't

The Princess Bride. That is one great sword fight.

Sword fighting is a field of entertainment that I find difficult to enjoy seeing as I fence. If you also consider that I have a deep seated need to pick apart movies based on technicalities and combine it with a fair amount of knowledge of how it ought to work it spells disaster. That said, I do love The Princess Bride.

I'd say my favorite fight scene in a movie comes from Fight Club. While there are a seemingly endless stream of movies where the actors prove to be inhumanly badass in close combat, fight club seemed to be a brutal depiction of the sort of fights one could actually expect to see in person at some point - clumsy, bloody and quick.
