Trolls 2. My friend got it on Bluray because hey, its apparently the best worst movie ever. I mean, it made me laugh at some parts (they're eating her! and then they're going to eat me!), but 95% of it was brain-drain. It was awwwwfuuuuuulllll. Whoever makes these stupid "cult classics" needs to just stop. I'm all for indie films, and I can understand that cult classics are hard to judge before you release them, but seriously.....just....stop. The human mind can only take so much punishment. All these crappy sci-fi monster battle movies with terrible acting and cgi, and all these gross and fucked up horror/slasher/porn movies for the sake of pleasing a few mentally disturbed fucks, and all these boring pretentious boring and long and boring artsy films about some depressed guy.

By the power of all humanity I beg you to stop.
A DOUBLE DECKER BOLONGA SANDWHICH!!!!!!!!!! Thats a great movie XD
He's just mad because his mom got eaten by dwarves in potato sacks and the movie brought flashbacks.
The movie was never suppose to be about trolls, the movie was called goblin but they changed the title to trolls 2 when it came to America XD
Yeah, I watched the whole documentary on it. The director of it was absolutely delusional, but not as much as the women who played the mother. She went on and on about how Troll 2 was essentially just as good as Casablanca.

To this day, the only movie I've walked out on and would happily jab my eyes out with a soda straw if I had to see it again is "Dude, Where's My Car".

Coming in a close second? "White Chicks".

The Spirit.

I was warned, but I just had to watch that turd anyway.

I don't know which was worse, how badly Sam L Jackson phoned it in or how hard everyone else was trying but blech.

Tideland, I should have left when the director of the film came out before it started and pleaded with the audience to give the movie a chance.

Horrible, horrible piece of pretentious indie film garbage.
I watched the intro, and something strikes me as downright disgusting when a director comes towards the future audience and basically says:

"Hey, I know that you'll probably hate every part of this film, but I just want to let you know that if you do, it means you're a horrible, cynical, douchebag who can't even comprehend innocence. If you hate it, it absolutely makes you an emotionless robot. Thank you, and enjoy the film."

After the Avengers, I thought that it would clear some things up. Wish I could unknow that movie.

Highlander 2. Should've stopped at 1.

Metropolitan; it's about a bunch of trust fund preppies who do nothing but go to lame pretentious parties. It's a total waste of time.

and Spiderman 2 "I dont want to be Spiderman." whiny *****.
As for Highlander, I'll sum it up simply: There can be only one!

As for Spider-Man 2, I'll just leave you with this: I disagree, and I think you are being a wee bit judgmental about a film that is based around him getting comfortable with the responsibility he bears.
Sure I'm being judgmental as hell; it's kind of the point of the thread. And while I appreciate them making him more of a one dimensional character and showing his journey into super-responsibility, they didn't need to make it drag down half the movie.

Chernobyl Diaries

I went with a friend (who worked there, so free tickets) and I still felt ripped off.

After it, we just spent the whole ride home saying how bad it is.

If you want to know more in detail why it's so bad, ask away.
I'm actually quite interested in knowing why it's bad and I already have a few ideas as to why it might be bad, but I want to hear from the horses mouth as to why it's so terrible.
You'll have to explain the horse's mouth metaphor to me XD

But reasons why Chernobyl Diaries is a horrible movie (Plot spoilers inbound people!)

Reason I: Characters

I figuratively could not care about any of the characters. Nothing was done to at least give SOME qualities, they were pretty much the same person cloned seven times.

Reason II: Editing

It takes almost a third of the movie to actually get to the "setting", Pripyat. TOO FREAKEN' LONG

Some scenes were done to provide some "suspense" for the viewers (ex: Tour guide goes off screen after hearing noise, next shot is of tourists watching where he went.)

That shot I mentioned lasted WAY too long. I'm talking like 30-45 seconds long.

Reason III: Plot inconsistencies
There's a lot of them

a. They show a mutated fish (from Chernobly's radiation) and it's never brought back up again.

b. For most of the film, DOGS are the major "scary" things :/

c. It's never clear how intelligent the mutant zombie citizens are, or how fast they move.

d. One of the characters first grabbed is grabbed multiple times, only to die of OTHER CAUSES

e. Radiation exposure seems to take place instantaneously

f. THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT F**KING KNEW ABOUT THE MUTANTS THE WHOLE TIME, and to make sure the lone survivor doesn't tell anyone, they THROW HER INTO A CELL WITH THEM TO EAT HER.

Thor is pretty much as bad as it gets... I might as well have coated my eyes in bubble gum whilst burning a source text detailing the Norse pantheon!

As for Napoleon Dynamite, it's probably a matter of taste. I practically pissed myself watching that film and still do each time!

Not because it wasn't good, but because it's depressing as all he'll!
Have to agree, I was reading the book I liked it and told my mom it was good... he was even a little concerned for me. He asked how I could like something so damn dark.

They're not quite films, but animated shorts. My media studies teacher showed us four shorts this morn, three of which were by the same guy. The first one was good. However, the last three, Ryan, Bingo the Clown and the end were literally the most frightening things that I have ever watched. They take the concept of uncanny valley and turned them up to unbearable levels. I'm not sure that they're supposed to be scary, but they are. They're like these modern art films and I HATE modern art for the completely superfluous symbolism and lack of coherency. My personal view on things: if your art cannot be understood without understanding complex and mysterious imagery, you have failed.

That's easy. Pan's Labyrinth.

Saddest movie I've ever seen. Really the whole premise is just depressing (perhaps too weak a word for it, even). Disturbed me for days after I saw it.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think it was a well done, masterfully told story, but I also think that it is really not something that I could recommend anyone see.

Blood Rayne - it was so hilariously bad that it was almost enjoyable.
The Expendables - Such a waste of money. It is basically one big action hero circle jerk with all of the violence of big action movies, without any of the entertaining plot or funny quirks that other action movies have. I LOVE Arnie movies, but the plots are actually semi-interesting, and his one-liners are amazing. Expendables doesn't have anything like that, it is just garbage.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - So. Fucking. Bad.

And I'll include Bridge to Terabithia because that movie made me so fucking sad... Its really good, but I don't suggest anyone watch it because of how sad it made me.
I actually liked The Expendables. I went in expecting a big dumb throwback to 80's action movies, and that's exactly what I got.

no you didn't when you can count how many big explosions on one hand in an 80 style action flick YOU ARE DOING IT FUCKING WRONG!!!!!

Paul Blart Mall Cop - A friend wanted to rent this. We were supposed to go to the zoo, but they didn't want to go anywhere so they can check with their guild about raiding on wow -_-. Anyway, it is unfunny and just awkward. They play up this stupid joke that he needs sugar or he runs out of energy and takes a nap.

Visitor Q - There is a reason on asian horror sites they usually have a thread about who has seen it like it was a challenge. It is such a dirty, disgusting movie that thinks it is a comedy. You know you are in for a horrid movie when the first scene has the main character try to see a lady of the night, discovers it is his daughter, and still proceeds to go with her.... shudders... and I must reiterate they play it up like 'whoa what a quirky funny situation' I used to enjoy watching Asian horror, but now I haven't seen a horror movie of any kind for about 6 years and don't have the urge to thanks to that movie.

Supserbad - A lot of people raved about it. I saw it and felt 'this is it"? To be fair, I think net comedians like spoony, retsupurae, todd in shadows are much funnier than anything that Hollywood makes.

Yeah that sounds about right.

I expected the random group of teens to be bland asshats. And it took a long time to actually get to the setting? Well, that probably just reinforces the asshat thing, right? Just watching the characters be the worthless characters they are for too long, ugh. And then them just watching nothing? Geez, that sounds boring. Oh, and dogs? Really? Plus, that ending sounds fucking retarded and is a shameless effort to antagonize "those commie bastards" or some shit like that.

So overall, just a crappy pointless generic shitty horror movie which I doubt was really even that scary.

And as for the whole from-the-horse's-mouth phrase...actually, I don't really know what it means. I figured it was just a way to say "from a legitimate source." Why is it a horse's mouth and not a dog's or goat's, I don't know.
