Metroid: Other M

I know a lot of people really hated that game, but I didn't mind it. That being said, the final boss is bullshit. Even the boss before that was stupid because there is no indication of the move the game wants you to use to kill it, and if you don't figure it out fast enough YOU DIE. It's like a quick-time event that doesn't give you the button you need to press.

...rage.

Although I will say that I remember the final boss in Final Fantasy IV being a pain... until I grinded like 5 more levels then it was a cakewalk. So it's either impossible or far too easy.

So many disappointing boss fights to think of...
FO3 had a horrible one, I think had to use more bullets to kill his two guards.
Bully also had a weak final boss, but Shawn Lee's awesome score helped make it awesome.
Time Spliters: Future Perfect's boss was just stupid, shot the robot/man/alien hybrid in his weak points, and while he was stunned, shot his major weak point (which was, oddly enough, his ass. = / )
and Saints row 2, the fight with the Ultor guy was just plain dumb, I mean, what kind of fight can he put up when I have a RPG handy?

Fable 2 and FFX.
Yu yevon is the worst boss ever! Zombie and full life ......
I've always felt that Jecht is the 'final boss', and Yu Yevon is just a there because it needs to be. Also, I feel the game made up for it with 'Mt Gagazet Seymour' and Yunalesca.

OT: Borderlands, made easier by the fact that I was Lilith with a regenerating SMG (my best/favourite gun and no ammo limit). Any boss in Dark Cloud after La Saia is superfluous. Sure, the Dark Genie is a good boss fight and by no means 'a push over', but I had some decently powerful weapons and La Saia almost killed me (I also had healing items, Dran's feathers and stamina potions).

The final boss in Tales of Symphonia can be disappointing if you did a certain side quest.

There's a long side quest that has an incredibly hard boss that is harder than the final boss at the end. He has 120,000 HP (the highest amount the final boss can have is about 55,000) and can swap between the 8 different fighting styles whenever he wants. However, it unlocks weapons that do more damage with each enemy you kill. Because of this I can kill the final boss in less than five seconds because of the massive amount of damage I am doing.

Mass Effect ? Way too easy and short, like this sentence fragment.

Borderlands ? Everybody has said why the Cthulu?s lady parts boss was so lame.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII ? I never fought the uber side-quest boss, but Genesis was super easy to the point where I thought he was just ?boss before the boss?.

Fallout 3 ? Does this even count?

Fallout: New Vegas ? Unless you decide to fight Oliver, Lanius is easy.

Dragon Age II ? Am I the only one disappointed here?

I'll agree with the final "boss" in Fable 2. That wasn't even a boss fight! You don't even have to do ANYTHING. That was the zenith and sum of the pile of absolute tripe that was Fable 2.

And although I hesitate to call it a "boss" the last race in NFS:U2 was a walkover. The final few races in NFS:U and MW were tense and close, but in Underground 2 it was the easiest race in the entire game. I lapped the guy several times over.

Also Mass Effect at Level 50, Infiltrator with EXPLODING BULLET SNIPER RIFLE. Saren goes down in less than 5 minutes.
Sniper Rifle + Two Scram Rails + Explosive Rounds = RAIL GUN

Yeah, it's overpowered...but fun. Bringing down a Colossus in 2-3 shots is glorious.

From a story point of view, I hated it. But it was still a very fun fight.

Actually the level 7 damage upgrade is more powerful than a scram rail.

Last I recall that was like that was in Nier.
Beat boss after boss during the last part of the game(all simple as hell). Then it ended all of sudden. I was liek "lolwut?".

The most glaring case of this for me was the final boss fight in Bioshock. By the end of the game you're this superpowered sentient freight train that can get by with little more than decent aim and a bit of patience, so when I finally got to the final boss, the battle of epic proportions that I had been expecting wasn't that much more than a five minute period in time where I just spammed Incinerate and heat seeking missiles. I vividly recall beating it, and then loading my last save and beating him again just because I could.

Not really the end boss of the game, but I was disappointed there was no boss at the end of God of War's Pandora Temple.

Bioshock. he killed me twice, then I realised how to fight him right, and skip his first form, and the thirt time, and every subsequent time, even on hard, I killed him without even using a single medkit, or the health station in the boss fight room

The final Bosses for Fable, and Fable 3. If Fable 2 did anything -right- it was that at the very least it was dramatic.
Shooting Lucien (or even letting Reaver do it) is quite satisfying, and the simplicity of the sequence only aids that.

For Fable, 'The Lost Chapters' it's Jack Of Blades...oh...he's a giant dragon? Really? And Fable 3's city invasion, while interesting in having a character you've gotten to know throughout the whole game possessed, lacks a certain something, which may have something to do with the fact that what that character is being possessed by is essentially a giant whispering pile of goo who has almost no impact on the plot until the last few chapters and whose progress across the map seems irrelevant. They were going for vast, Cthulic shapeless shoggoth of the shadows doom!! And they failed.
