I got Mass Effect 2, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Terraria. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. I was holding out for a 75% off Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, too bad it never happened. There's always the Christmas sale.
I was hoping for either DA:O or Just Cause 2. No dice.

Europa Universalis III is definitely worth a look today, if you're in the niche of grand strategy gamers.

Overall, I only picked up Limbo from this sale. I got about a dozen games during the summer sale, though, so there wasn't much left that I was interested in this time.

I guess I'm being shallow, but the interface doesn't look so inviting.

I got Fallout: NV. Although I'm pretty tied up in Skyrim so it may be a while until I play it.

It's not, I'm sure like all of those games it's super deep and very rewarding but it's not for the faint of heart.

Total War is easy mode compared to this stuff imo. I love TW, can't make head nor tail of grand strategy games like this.

I was just going to post that about Europa Universalis III. Grand strategy is one of my favorite genres, and I've always wanted to play that game. Unfortunately, even $3.75 is a bit much for me to spend on a timesink like that when I've got such a huge backlog and so little time to play games. I dropped $10 on the Unreal Deal pack on day one, but finding 10 minutes to play a game of capture the flag is a lot easier than finding several hours to play a round of a grand strategy game.

In other words, ah, the life of a broke college kid who can apparently only afford to buy games when he can't afford to play them.

I bought The Witcher yesterday even though I don't have a computer I can play it on. But $2.50? Might as well reserve it just in case.

I was going to get Risen, but steam forgot my credit card number and I didn't have it with me. So I couldn't get it at 50% off. I might still get it, if it's still 33% off. Other then that I might get Divinity 2, I'm downloading the demo to check out controls and how well it runs.

I'd probably be more willing to consider it if I hadn't picked up Medieval II in another recent sale.

Yeah, not sure when I'll get around to playing it, but $2.50 is too good to pass up.

Me and three friends put in for Payday at a fiver each, and just played the first mission.

Totally worth it.

I was hoping dragon age would go lower then 15 bucks but i bought it anyway.
I already have it for PS3 and I'm not sure how well it will run on my PC, so I can't justify it. $5? I could justify that. Maybe even $7 for the Ultimate Edition.

I completed my guilty collection and got The Sims 3 \o/
Some of my friend were really into the Sims, but I just couldn't see the appeal. Hope it's worth the sale price for you, though.

Yeah don't bother then lol. Medieval 2 is a great game. I preferred Medieval 1 but I'm sure that's just nostalgia talking.

Only got Vanilla New Vegas, and the DLC civ's for Civilization V.

Can anyone recommend Thief: Dealy Shadows, or Magic: The Gathering? Or should I just save my money for a mad spending spree during the Christmas sales?

Mass Effect 1 & 2 - promised myself ages ago I would get it after some friends recommended it. I'll start playing it after Skyrim.

I also got Limbo, I've just been playing it and it's amazing. I agree with Yahtzee that it's a little disappointing that there are less bugs and more puzzles towards the end.

I was thinking about getting Deus Ex HR, but I'm stingy and I'll wait till it drops below £10 in a sale.

I bought two copies of Magic, one for me and one for my girlfriend. We both play the real version of the game together, but we don't live together and only see each other once or twice a week.

Also got Orcs Must Die on the first day and the remaining Fallout:NV dlc that I was missing on the second.
