Any idea on PS3 yet? It's so annoying having to change disk mid-game. FFVII had 4 which was pretty bad and Escape to Monkey Island 2 on the Amiga had ... 12!

The 360 version apparently has noticeably lower quality graphics too. But at least Square is trying to please xbox owners by giving them the game too.

BD = 50Gig

DVD = 8Gig

8 * 3 = 24.

by my calculations the PS3 is BETTER THAN THE XBOX IN EVERY WAY!!11!1!one

360 Dvd = 4.7 GB storage
Ps3 DVD = 25 gig storage.

If it's not single disk on the ps3 I'll be surprised.

According to quite a few people who played the demos at thatPS3 bus/van thing they reported noticeably lower quality graphics on the PS3 but other than that no real changes.

wow, i guess my FF fanboyism was getting the better of me, because i got annoyed when people didn't know how many discs FFVII was...haha

I don't mind the disc changes, but i'll be getting FFXIII on Ps3 anyways. it would just bother me having all of my final fantasy games on some form of playstation, and then one on the 360. my OCD messes with me like that.

Thats cool, kind of reminds me of the days of old. But, I'll be getting it on the Ps3 for several reasons, but the main one being that all I have is a ps3.

I don't see this as a particularly big deal, but the lack of changing discs is definitely a more legitimate reason to go with the PS3 version than the better graphics. (And the Japanese audio track is an even better reason than that).

If I had a choice, I'd probably get it on the PS3 so that I can just fly through VII-X and XII+XIII (no really, I'm not a fanboy, I swear) on the same system, but I got a 360, because that's what my friends have, and I'd honestly rather have the option of talking to my friends than being forced to deal with 12 year olds and fratboy wiggers.

...Having said that, shouldn't someone have figured out cross-platform multiplayer by now?

You're probably right.

Still, the PS3's BluRay reader is significantly slower than the average DVD reader. They may go with multiple discs for performance optimization rather than storage issues.
