I doubt it... now that you can just download it for $10, the price is probably going to fall through the floor for old copies

Ah but you forget about the collectors. yes you CAN download it for dirt cheap but that doesn't stop some die hard fans from paying crap ton on ebay or amazon. You can download a lot of old games for free but it doesn't stop the collectors.

FF7 was great, for it's time.

But now we're used to RPG's set in a different period then medieval ages with basic characters and magic 'n shit.

The plot is fairly decent, the characters are well-rounded and the combat was good, but this isn't anything new.

Right now, FF7 has been surpassed by MANY games, mostly games of this gen, because, you know, we've already went 2 generations further since FF7.

What i must say is that for 10 bucks you're still getting a very long game.

Great price, but I dunno if i'm gonna be getting this anytime soon. I'd much rather purchase Final Fantasy 6. But again, given the stipulations of supply and demand...this is a great deal for what it actually is. Physical copies of the game often sell for too much cash, since the game is 12 years old and sort of physically out of print (and discontinued). So this is def. a good deal for what it is.

But would've been better with 1-6 also on the PSN, or atleast FF6.

I mean FF7 is okay and all, but PSN needs to realize that if they're going to put one FF game on PSN, then it's going to attract the attention of other FF fans that see that, and are upset no other FF titles are up there but the overrated uber-awesome Sephiroth Fantasy 7: Jenova Edition.

Give me FF6, or better yet, 1-6 and i'll say this is a good thing. Until then, it's decent...but nothing i'm gonna pay much attention to for awhile. Not that psyched to just randomly obtain and play FF7 again....FF6 on the other hand...

Dude, I'm in the same boat. Moreso, in fact; one of my friends has two copies of Legend of Dragoon!

I'm so damn tempted to just download FF7, then flog my copy for big bucks!

Yes all PS games bought on the store can be moved onto the PSP
Are you certain about this?
Let me get this straight... If i download FF7 on the PSN... i can play it on my PSP?
I have some questions about this...

How does it handle having only one analog stick? How big is the file? Do I have to download it to my memory stick?
I've never heard of this functionality, and if thats the case, I may dust off my PSP thats been holding up my Belgariad hardback collection for the past 2 years.

1)Yes you can access the PSN through your PSP so you can buy FF7 and play it on the PSP.
2)You can play the game with one stick because when FF7 was released it only used one analogue stick as the dualshock had not been made yet.
3)It's about 1.6gigs i believe. Being a 3 disk game it's not surprising.
4)Yes you have to download it to your memory stick. it's like any other downloadable game really.

Seraph essentially answered all the questions, but if you have your PSP linked to your PS3 I believe you download it directly from the store to the handheld instead of to the console then moving it over.

Was there even an analog stick on the PS1 now that I think about it?? You're right, i can see what you mean.
No I was concerned about how the button mapping would be, etc.. and if I had to remain connected to my PSP. This is nice to know, that I don't have to be. But are there two versions for downloading then? I can understand the PS3 being able to play it, because of the hardware emulation, but the PSP... is it a fully working port? Can anyone confirm that they are walking around town playing it on their psp?

You download the game, like you would any other PSN game. It's only one version and it can be played on both the PS3 and PSP. I was playing it today on my PSP while my cousin was playing RE5.
Yes it's the SAME EXACT GAME.

No problem, just make sure you have a decent sized memory card as it is 1.5gb

You know. I'll download it through my friends PSN when I get a PSPgo. Long way away I know, but I've never completed FF7.
