Final Fantasy Characters: Best And Worst

Pretty simple here, who are your favorite character and the one that you want to see dead one million times over in Final Fantasy. I'm also going to allow cheating here by saying that if you want to do it for each game. You can also divide it up even further by giving the best and worst of the heroes and villains, that's fine too. Also would appreciate it if you said why they are.

For me, I'd have to go with my favorite being either Zidane for his plot twist and for being one of the few that I liked from the start (also being the main character in my favorite game) or Kefka for being the Joker on magic if his plans actually succeeded (also, his 8bit laugh will haunt you till you die).
My least favorite would probably be either Selphie for existing (atleast Zell's character was actually designed rather than just an NPC that I would ordinarily not even notice) or most of the cast of 12 (except for the Judges, but it became pretty damn obvious that they were made only to die).

In seriousness, though, having only played XIII (and a tiny bit of IX so long ago I can remember none of it), I have to say Fang. I absolutely love her.

OT: Inb4 Cloud and Tidus as worst.

Uhh...Pretty much all the FF XIII as the best. They're all just so likeable, even Snow.
Foir worst, probably Aeris as she was known on my copy of FF VII. Maybe because she was there basically, for me at least, plot. A decent healer, yes but that's all really.

My favorite character has to be Vivi [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_IX] from FF IX.

He is just so awesome and cool, though his story is kind of sad.

And Steiner [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_IX#Steiner], also from FF IX.


Don't really have a least favorite character to be honest.

Well for worst I'd say Yuna. I can't decide which one of them pisses me off more. Yuna is just to nice and excessively apologetic. These type of characters have always annoyed me. I mean even when the beliefs she have carried throughout her entire life turn out to be a hollow lie, she barely changes. Though I will admit that part of my hate towards her is that she reminds me of Colette from Tales of Symphonia.

Though Tidus comes pretty close to being just as irritating as her.

And Al-Cid Margrace also from FFXII, for just being hilariously awesome..

My least favorite would probably be Selphie for existing.

The thing about Selphie is she's like a coin. She has a very childish personnality. However, I realized after my second playthrough that's she pretty sadistic when she wants to. I noticed that she wants to blow shit up from time to time.

To respond tou your question: The FF9 cast is my favorite. I'll probably say that FF1's cast has no personnality what so ever .

Any one favorite is hard to pin down, so I'll just list my most liked.

For my favorites: Tellah (FFIV,) Kefka, Sabin, Cyan, Locke, Shadow (all FFVI,) Barret, Cid, Rude (FFVII)

Least Favorites: Mog, Umaru (FFVI,) Cait Sith (FFVII, and predictable)

Still need to play 5, 8, 9, 12, and 13.

Best:
Locke and the King from FFVI.
Cid and Yuffie(yeah i said it, my team in that game was Cloud, Cid and Yuffie. If i could i would have replaced Cloud with Red XIII) from FFVII.
Galuf from FFV.
Auron, Wakka and Seymour(A villain that i actually felt i understood WHY he was doing what he was doing.) from FFX.

Worst:
Everyone in FFX-2(Seriously, I liked Yuna and Rikku in FFX... Its like they beat them with the dumb whore stick for that game. Paine was just a flat boring character.)
The entire cast from FFXII.(What the hell happened to having more then one male character that was obviously male! We didn't have this problem in FFX! Tidus wasn't anywhere near as bad as this game! Damnit!)
Septhiroth FFVII... Though that is likely just because he has reached a level of fame that is totally undeserving. Same with Cloud.
Cait Sith, because his limit breaks suck for me. Vincent falls under this as well, i don't like losing control of my characters.
Kimarhi FFX, Useless, his grid sucked, his copy sucks. Pfftttt.

That's my list.

The worst has got to be Vaan. He had no connection to the plot at all and just followed the more interesting characters around saying "I want to be a sky pirate." Ergh

I personally really like Auron from X. A badass with, in my opinion, a very interesting back story.

Sephiroth really is just an overrated momma's boy.
