Dude I completely agree with you. I doubt I'll ever play a new FF game.
FFX is where the magic ended. Why did we even need FFX-2->XIII?

the thing is though, there were still plenty of Fal'cie alive back on gran pulse, and if it was just about the fal'cie that gave them the focus dying, the would have lost their marks like 5 minutes after getting them.ShadowsofHope said:danpascooch said:when the focus is completed they're supposed to turn to crystal, why didn't they?ShadowsofHope said:danpascooch said:That makes absolutely no sense, they killed the Fal'cie that originally marked them, RIGHT AFTER IT MARKED THEM, it should have disappeared then.No, the entire point was that the focus was bestowed with the destiny laid out for them that they were to destroy Cocoon for the Fal'cie so the Maker would return. The mark doesn't just disappear if the Fal'cie is destroyed, as the focus is required to be fulfilled before it will disappear.Fang and Vanille did, by sacrificing themselves to become Ragnarok. The focus was that one of them would have to sacrifice all to destroy Cocoon, the rest of them were there to help them achieve that goal. It was the Fal'cie guiding them along the entire way. Without any of the Fal'cie left to command that focus, the power was broken when Cocoon was saved.
At least, that's my speculation on it. *shrug*
HOW the hell did you survive?! I actually had to use strategy, interrupt my autoattacks to set a new combo only to switch styles, and have to plan out which character was my party lead FOR EACH BATTLE! Did you grind to level 50 on the first map or ssomething? This game is not easy, nor is it ever as simple as tapping A. The combat system needs tweaking, but it's nowhere near as overly-simple as you claim. Did you WATCH someone play this? Online maybe? Because I doubt you really had to deal with the difficulty or the controls.QCX said:3. Fight system;
Turning a turn based fight system into a real time event is a challenge for any devs out there. These guys at Square Enix seem to be on the right track, but you now what the problem is there. The player is not doing anything besides selecting an auto attack. That's it most the time I was just using auto attack for everything. I might as well had a coffee and read the paper and pressed the "A" button with my foot. The idea when making a turn base system is to create pressure on the player and make them think quickly, rather then just sit there and stair at the pretty lights, while button mashing "A".
The Fal'cie on Gran Pulse had no bearing on the shared focus of the Group. It was the Sanctum Fal'cie that concocted the plan.danpascooch said:the thing is though, there were still plenty of Fal'cie alive back on gran pulse, and if it was just about the fal'cie that gave them the focus dying, the would have lost their marks like 5 minutes after getting them.ShadowsofHope said:danpascooch said:when the focus is completed they're supposed to turn to crystal, why didn't they?ShadowsofHope said:danpascooch said:That makes absolutely no sense, they killed the Fal'cie that originally marked them, RIGHT AFTER IT MARKED THEM, it should have disappeared then.No, the entire point was that the focus was bestowed with the destiny laid out for them that they were to destroy Cocoon for the Fal'cie so the Maker would return. I feel like we shouldn't have to think this hard, the rules for l'cie weren't exactly complicatedShadowsofHope said:The Fal'cie on Gran Pulse had no bearing on the shared focus of the Group. I.. really don't know how to explain it anymore, I'm not entirely sure myself. We need a Final Fantasy XIII junkie to sort this out. <_<
I don't know anyone who actually called Princess Garnet "dagger" when you get the chance to rename her in final Fantasy 9.dohteM said:Gorgeous graphics, just like a porn star. Weak plot, characters, settings, combat, etc, just like a porn star.
Edit: If you've changed the name of your characters in any FF games to something else other than the default name, you are obsessed and therefore a fanboy ^_^. Just like me putting Yahtzee as my avatar.
