Final Fantasy XIII: New Official Trailer

It doesn't look very Final Fantasy-ish anymore, if anyone knows what I mean.

I know what you mean. It's kind of losing the anime look (not completely) for a more realistic look.

Two reasons this doesn't worry me:

1-They don't look like Epcot automatrons, like the "realistic" characters in Bethesda games.

2-It looks like we're only seeing one small portion of the game.

If u read a post before u automatically quoted and critisized it...we wouldnt have this problem. Yes, u did not say that every1 hated the game....and i did not say that u did. Ur accusing me of accusing you of something u didnt do...when there was no accusation. I said, "u make it sound like" it wasnt a personal insult set out to destroy u from the inside out.... i could care less. I just thought that "and we ALL know how that turned out" suggested that we ALL disliked the outcome...that is all.
And i could care less about my spelling...if i did, i'd use spellcheck, but i obviously dont. I could waste my time and include every letter in every word...but its just a forum site...not important, get over it.

Read the Forum Posting Rules... The Escapist cares about Spelling. If you don't go post on the IGN boards or 4chan or any other forum that DOESN'T care about spelling.

We're willing to forgive typos and forgetting to capitalize etc. but you used Internet Shorthand... words like every1 and stuff like that.

Really wish I had a PS3 now. I look forward to it even more, now if they were to come out with another Versus 13 trailer that showed some gameplay footage I'd be even happier.

Indeed, I think the Gameplay is going to be worth at least a single playthrough. But then again, that implies that I was ever NOT planning on buying this game. Make no mistake, if I can buy this, I WILL buy this, no matter what I say.

I dunno, it looks very similar to FFVIII, which granted was the Least Final Fantasyish Final Fantasy in my opinion (I'm not saying it was bad, just not Final Fantasyish).

Still, I'm thinking it'll be fine, the battles are probably going to be Actiony Psuedo Turn Based, since it looks like you can control the whole group at one time in battle and that's nearly impossible with a real time system.

I know exactly what you mean. I haven't bought a Final Fantasy since 10, and that one I got out of the bargain-bin. Well, actually, I bought FFT: Lion Wars, cause I loved the original FFT and just had to get the remake...but, being a remake, I don't think it really counts.

Well it absolutely doesn't help that the Final Fantasy team officially features almost nobody from the original team, if you know what I mean.

I will buy this game, and I will probably like this game, but for once I am not eager about this game.

Well then i guess you didn't like FF7 or 8...ya know...as they pretty much had the same, or close to, feel when it came to setting and aesthetics.

wow, a bit over done but the combat look like full real time with a charge up bar where you get attacked as your attacking. I can see this game as buyable indeed but i am an FF die hard. I might just go and buy a PS3 for the game, it looks very good, the story might suck but the combat is a great improvement i think, well from what i saw

It looks like a fast-paced combat system like X-2 but with a Total-Recallish plot like VII.

In other words, YES.

Also, male and female characters appear to be dressed like males and females. YES.

The Escapist is not that big a part of my life. i still dont care.

I dont think getting you to care is what they are trying to do. They are just informing you of the rules. If you dont care, just realize you are probably going to get reported.

Oh, and no, you dont make the game look bad by using poor grammar and spelling. You make the people who like the game look bad.

I like the visual style, It gives a good contrast to the last game, but the combat looks to be a little dodgy.

Clearly? Not really, you might want to go into more detail with that. It's still hard to be sure about what the combat is aiming at at this stage.
