Bah, the children shouldn't even be playing a T-rated game unless they're 13+! But anyway, I really wasn't expecting the rating to be that different. Final Fantasy's always been a little too violent for an E rating, but not mature enough to warrant an M rating.

So why was ass censored and not damn? Ass is an appellation for a donkey, and it means stubborn, hard headed, ornery, etc... They might as well have changed the other 'swears' to darn and h e double hockey sticks.

because ass also means a part of the human body , words that deal with human body tend to be censored before hell and damn etc etc.

at least they are using cuss words the last time used any were in FFVII and FFVIII

And FFIX. That made use of the word "bastard" a few times.

I don't see what the big deal is, they're just listing it off in the same dry matter of fact format they do for everything else. As the final line says:

The side boob thing is just being dropped in with the other bikini clad & backless chaps cut scene parts, along with the violence. It's funny how they point it out, but its not like they're specifically rating a game T because of some 'side boob'.

Whilst it doesn't take a lot to get a Teen rating, remember that they aren't insanely conservative either, I mean they didn't give FFX-2 an M rating whilst they had all the excuses to do so:

- Yuna's sexy default outfit
- Many of the crazy outfits (thief showing the most skin)
- Rikku
- LeBlanc, for REAL sideboob
- Paine's Leather outfits
- Suggestive hot spring scene
- Sexy transformation sequences
- Rikku

It got a teen rating, and I'm not even sure they counted nudity in the rating.

It is in the USA. Ass is barely an expletive, it's like the mildest one out there, and Damn and Hell aren't even expletives anyway, unless you're from the Bible-Bashing South... Anyway, is any of this really anything new? Apart from the detailed description of some of the game features, this is just standard fare for a Final Fantasy game. Besides, remember FF X-2, anyone? Hell, even Kingdom Hearts, which is aimed at kids (though as a 19 year old I'll admit to still loving it), has a bit of fanservice what with the appearances of Kairi and Namine...

They consider this the most intense sequences of violence they've seen? Imagine how they would react when they play Gears of War or God of War. Or just watch a Quentin Tarantino film! And hell is a swear word? Obviously they've never went to church or read the Bible! And the sideboob?
