the whole game of black ops is designed to benefit noobs...
there is no skill in it any more and its just a case of who can spray the most bullets into the other guy while running round the map like a headless chicken...

can't believe that this is an acceptable "evolution" of COD 4
Hate to break it to ya, but that's been CoD's multiplayer playstyle from the beginning.
I used to really be in it for the single player until 4 came out, and on 4 and WaW I used to play with the sniper classes...maybe now that they are gone I can see it for what it really is :(

I'm not a fan of things like this, it's just like on Mario Kart where the people who are behind get all the good powerups...

...but then it is also an enjoyable game.

People who use it are just n00bs to the core. Not only they don't know how to play the game, they destroy other peoples fun by using unfair and gameplay-breaking methods.
Sounds like someone is too noobish to play the game the way its made.

Hint: It's you, you are the noob.

Emptying an entire clip into someone and then dying from one well aimed shot...so who is the noob?

Theres no pistol that is an instant kill unless you use the revolver and somehow hit a headshot, which in final stand is pretty damn rare.

Also generally, you don't come back to life after you die. It's a videogame, which has no serious interest in being realistic. If they would want to be realistic, you wouldn't survive a shot to the chest from a sniper rifle (which you do). Even if you play Hardcore mode (which actually helps a lot) the game is occasionally filled with ridiculous moments. The thing is, it's Treyarchs universe and you gotta play by that universe's rules.

And as it turns out, my cousin was complaining about Second Chance users just yesterday.

I really really don't care. More often than not, I get my kill anyway. It's not hard, considering that they're reduced to 1 HP (throw a grenade at his face!). It only sucks when he gets rescued just as I'm beginning to pull the trigger one last time. Besides, an entire team of Second Chance-ers is infinitely more preferable to an entire team of Martyrdom (dealt with the former yesterday, didn't have to do anything about the latter as Martyrdom doesn't exist anymore)

Now Leonard may be standing in the back alerting me to sarcasm however I believe I have fixed the issue.

What you describe sounds pretty bad, but if it's more like "I die, I can knife someone, if I successfully knife them to death within ten seconds I can get back up." Which isn't to say that's not "C|-|34p |-|4C5OR5!!" in multiplayer, but it's well-executed and useful in Fallout, Borderlands, and other single player games.

The only annoyance I get from second chancers is that I will use a clip to take someone down, they go into second chance, then someone else comes along and pops them, leaving me with an assist instead of a kill.

if you're skilled enough, you can take down a last stand guy every time without them firing off a shot. just anticipate it. the one exception is snipers who shoot a guy then he falls right behind a ledge. well, there goes that kill.

I don't use either and i think it's cheap. I mean, REALLY? You have to fill his body with lead and most times he goes into Last Stand, some fucker from your team gets the kill and then another fucker from the other team snipes you.

It's become less of a frequent problem due to better perks being added to the third slot inf the later call of duty games. In 4 I would only use it because the third perk slots were pretty crappy, but since they made really useful abilities added to the same slot as last stand it's become less of an issue and less people use it compared to the shear number that used to.

I didn't mind it in CoD4, 5 or 6. But in Black Ops Treyarch 'nerfed' it. They said it was less effective, because now there is a death animation before they can fire. Unfortunately, this made the perk completely useless so they made the player damn near invincible whilst in this death animation. So what happens now is you fire and the enemy falls slowly to the ground. you keep firing, to kill them, and run out of ammo. Whilst you are reloading, you are killed.

I don't think it's that bad. Since I use heavy machine guns, SMGs or shotguns, I usually still have enough rounds in a magazine to finish off the second chancer without problem.

The only thing that I would change about Last Stand is: The guy who brings the other guy down should get the kill, while the one who finishes him gets an assists. Right now it's annoying when someone else gets credit for your kill.

Edit: Actually, while were on the subject, Treyarch needs to do something about the combination of small maps and rolling thunder. I'm sick of getting banned >.>

Rewarding failure is just silly. Especially when it then results in the punishment of someone who's doing well. (i.e someone with 0 kills 20 deaths getting a lucky last stand kill on the guy who's about to get a gunship)

I have not yet been killed by these. Nor, on an even happier note, have I been killed by a noobtube, which was the reason I sold Modern Warfare 2.
