"Final Stand" and "Second Chance" perks need to go

never mind second chance (which I don't find that big a problem) why has quickscoping started making a comeback?

I thought it had been nerfed once and for all

I find them annoying for one of the reasons I find armor lock annoying in Reach; it unnecessarily slows down the pace of the game.
You were gonna kill that guy? Well take about three times as long instead, while he has a minimal chance at survival in his own right. It's like martyrdom was in CoD4, you gimped yourself of a perk 3 so you could hope for a consolation prize after being outplayed.
Thankfully, three times as long in black ops usually isn't problematic. Now in Reach... well that's a rant for a different topic!

I hate the idea of rewarding people for losing a fight in principle, it's a ridiculous mechanic. Not nearly as annoying as martyrdom in CoD4 but still, a pain in the arse.

Personally, I found last stand way more annoying the martyrdom... err... not that I found martyrdom at all annoying. It isn't hard to avoid, unless you are a camper. Plus, unless you are on hardcore mode, you even have a thing that tells you a grenade is there. And before anyone says you can't run away, if you even think that you are full of shit. I can't count how many times I've knifed someone that hard martyrdom and got away without taking a bit of damage from the grenade...

Well I find it no problem, and sometimes I use it to get a few extra kills.

I never get killed by it because lets face it pistol vs. automatic gun = me winning every time.

If you die from a person in last stand, you deserve to die, because you should have shot him more, and automatically thought you had killed him.

If someone kills the guy you were shooting in last stand, oh well, too slow. again you should have been quicker chances are he was shooting the same guy as you and he just happened to beat you to the kill.

Stop Complaining.

I don't really mind it. I rarely die from second chancers. And if I use it, I rarely get kills. I have bigger problems with knifing.

I have previously contemplated ways in which it would become less stupid and more balanced, but now I just have to realise that there is no way in which a sequel to Black Ops in which absolutely nothing is changed except the Second Chance perk no longer exist wouldn't be better than the current one.

i despise people who use it just because of the invincibilty frames where i will waste like 3-4 bullets, also when i come across a possible 4 man spray and 1 of them is using this perk and kills me i get mad, that has happened more than you may think aswell

I prefer to pop my enemy in the head and if I mis the head I still fire a few shots towards the floor even if they don't have last stand on, just incase they try getting back up... But it doesn't bug me at all.

I just was curious If I'm the only one who finds it absurd to empty a clip on someone only to have them lay on the ground and shoot me ONCE with a damn pistol and get an insta-kill....I find it quite n00b-ish. So, Do you use it?, or do you also find it ridiculous?

I don't know what version of Black Ops you're playing, I used an M60, w/ grip and got a quintuple spray where 4/5 players were using second chance....I only got killed by a sniper that was halfway across the map.

I don't use it, but then again, I haven't bought any of the third tier perks.

Every single gun in the game, other than the pistols, kills in less than a mag. About 2-15 bullets for anything other than a sniper rifle. And a second chancer can just be killed with a smoke grenade anyways, so whats the problem?

if you're skilled enough, you can take down a last stand guy every time without them firing off a shot. just anticipate it. the one exception is snipers who shoot a guy then he falls right behind a ledge. well, there goes that kill.

Just shoot through the wall. With the exception of maybe the SVD, You can penetrate through the wall, unless its a 4 foot thick concrete wall...

You see a guy falling on his back, shoot 3 shots more. Why is it noobish? It's a completely legit perk. Calling someone noobish because they use second chance is as silly as saying flak jacket users are noobish.

Rather than raging on second chance, complain about the pistols. I killed a sniper from the other side of the map in second chance.

Generally, when you get a full clip of 7.62 Full Metal Jacket to the face, You die there is no "Second chance" Makes logical sense to me if you put it that way.

Yeah, second chance is actually pretty conditional. You don't go into it if you get headshot, knifed/melee, or blown up. I use it all the time when my friend lets me play with him on his guest account. To be honest, I'm not even good at it, we just like using it so we can dive-to-prone and slam the save-needle into each others' groin-- NO HOMO!!!

I have never been killed by one of these people, even in MW2 and I have played for a total time of 13 days on MW2 alone. (I never had the net for a large part of MW2's year)

I usually aim for the crotch, not that I am activly aiming for it, it just seems to be were I aim. Anyway, aiming there usually means I head shot them when they go into second chance.

You are in fact a big, fat noob for using last stand, the dude killed you, why should you be given a chance to cheap-shot an opponent who beat you. Also, running out of ammo because you unloaded a whole clip into the guy, only to be insta-killed by some newcomer who cant beat you legitimately makes my blood boil.

I seriously consider people who use it to be the lowest, most fail-worthy kind of gamers in the world. THERE IS NO MOTHERFUCKING EXCUSE FOR USING LAST STAND, YOU LOST AND DO NOT DESERVE TO GET A KILL.

Really last stand isnt a problem i havent been killed by someone in last stand in ages.If your shooting targets properly like in the head or the chest it cancels out last stand.Also you should be checking your targets as they go down anyway as in an explosion or in a hail of bullets people diving on the floor can easily look like a kill.

Last stand is not that bad i dont use it myself as it normally just leaves you lying on the ground while the guy finishes you off.I am glad to see that the noob tubes have become less popular but i still find them the most overpowered thing in cod

Normally I wouldn't post on a thread like this but eh.

The perk isn't noobish, insta-kills with pistols never happen, nor will they ever happen.

You just need to learn to fire another shot into them as they lay on the ground, don't give them a chance to fire a good few fast shots into you.

You don't get killed in a single shoot, the pistols are hard to use in Black Ops so I don't see why you're complaining, it's only your fault if you die to second chance, or whatever it's called. Either way, they're not going to remove a perk from the game, unless you mean future CoD games, then I can't comment on that.
