Some guy called me a ****** once. So I kicked in in the nuts and stepped on his knee. He was smaller than me and it was the first time. So I wouldn't say I snapped, I just deal with it immediately.
The ignoring tactic is for cowards. It doesn't work. If you don't stop them, they'll just keep doing it.
Not necessarily.
There have always been idiot, and tehre always will be, but in my experience after a while they sink back into the gutters from whence they came. I can't think of someone who's bugged me for longer than a year, since inevitably they give up.

Snapping on someone every now and then helps though.

Heh, I wouldn't call it that with a straight face...

OT: I did once in 8th grade, but the kids weren't actually doing anything major(besides pointing out that I was in a bad mood) and I was off my sleep schedule

Besides that, my mostly calm attitude is the reason why I don't get into fights.

I broke a guys nose with a policeman's helmet once.
how the hell did you get your hands on an officer's helm?
I was with a copper, this drunk guy started a fight with him and his hat fell off, I threw the hat at the guy's face and it broke his nose.

Sorry, no... I've never been bullied and I've never felt the urge to release my rage on someone's face.
Writing, or painting... or just singing out loud (prefferably when no one's around) has worked for all the rage I've had.

While I generally say no to violence, some people just deserve a good fist-to-face confrontation.
Couldn't agree more. Karma is a *****, as they say.

I've never been in the situation of being bullied thankfully, but I'm the type who would have a rage bar, and when it's full I will explode.

Greeting's fellow Nerd's, Geek's and Gamers.

Throughout most of my educational life I was bullied for all manner of reasons but mostly because I was quite emotionally shut off from the other kids (Asperger syndrom).

Thing's got a lot worse when people found out about my gaming enthusiasm.
I hated confrontation so I never fought back.
One person who I will simply call "Dick" was always the most violent and caused me a lot of misery. After I finished High school I thought I'd never see him again.

But today while I was in "Game" all of a sudden after not seeing him for a year and a half, Dick showed up and started reminding me of all the "Good times" he had at my expense.

Now I did what my parents taught me and ignored him untill he started pushing me around and then tripped me onto my face. (This took place outside the store)

It was at this moment that I felt an uncontrollable rage build up inside that forced it's way into my fist and caused me to turn around and punch Dick full force right in the face, actually causing his lip to bleed as his body met the floor.

After a lot of swearing on his behalf he made up his excuse's and made a quick escape, leaving me there with an unbelievable sense of satisfaction and pride for finally putting the prick in his place.

So as a question to you guys:
"Has anything like this happened to you and what happened"??

P.S.
sorry I think I should quickly mention that I am now 21 just finished a 2 year IT college course and am currently on a free year before I consider UNI.
(This was a sort of ghost from the past type thing).
i love it when people give karma a push in the right direction. good work. i've snaped before, it was a glorious day, filled with fists flying and the prick ending up on the ground with a black eye.

As someone who also suffers from ASD, I'm gonna say bravo. =]
Same kinda thing happened to me in primary school, but that was the last time, and it was years ago. Lifted a guy up against a wall by his neck after 3 consecutive years of abuse. Felt good, but that was a long time ago, and I tend to shut down the anger, before I flip, but I would have done the same (I think, no-one can actually tell unless they're in that situation).

With a single sentence you just insulted quite a lot of people, me included. Well done, Jerk. Could you think before you type next time please?

I love people who think being a prick means being cool, I hope you get banned for this.

At one point in sixth grade, I had this annoying kid as my forced lab partner. Now, not only is he annoying, he constantly touches whoever is closest to him, which was very, well, annoying. So, at one point, I snapped and stabbed his hand with a pen. He didn't bleed or anything, just got up and said ouch, and didn't come near me again.
So you stabbed someone with a pen because he was annoying? You have serious anger problems.

OT: Yes, I snapped before. Once in 6th grade these 2 guys kept making fun of me and punching me. I got so angry I grabbed one of them up to the wall and told him silently that if he didn't leave me alone I'd fuck him up. The other one ran so fast his shoes came off of his feet and the one I was holding almost pissed his pants. They left me alone after that. Not even a bad look or a threat. They just left me alone.

Violence always has and always will solve most of life's problems.
Words can be used to solve many problems. But when the stubborn bastard ignores you, it soon becomes time to see how well they can ignore a broken nose.

I once knew a similar person. We'll call him 'dick'. No, dick's taken, isn't it. Then we shall call him potato, for the shape of his head.
Potato was a dick. He verbally abused me for any reason that popped into his head at the time. Short jokes, jokes about my mild social awkwardness, random yet entirely unprovoked insults (seriously, I never talked to the guy except when he was hurling insults at me).
Evidently this got boring, so he persuaded other people to insult me too. Then decided it would be more fun to just trip me in passing, or randomly punch me, or create a long-running game based on how long it took to put me in a bin. My 'friends' at the time decided to simply stay out of the way. I'm a little bitter towards anyone from school as a result of all this.
Eventually I snapped and tried to hit him back, resulting in me solidly getting my ass kicked by him and his friends. It seems that me having the nerve to stick up for myself made him very, very angry. And then they put me in the bin again.
This, for the record, was in years 12-13 (16-18 years old) - you'd think people might be a little more mature by then.

Nearly 3 years later, and I haven't seen potato for a while. But someone keeps ringing my doorbell at 2 in the morning and running away, and the laugh is very familiar.

Thing is, I know the guy is, deep down, an insecure mess. Apparently taking it out on me made him feel big or something? All I know is I've just recovered from a major depression that was at least partially due to him. Twat. Possibly the only human being I've ever actually hated.
[/self-serving rant]

So yeah, sometimes violence can solve problems. And sometimes it leads to you lying on the floor hoping that soon they'll stop kicking you, or that someone else will notice.

I could never beat anyone up, I a pretty weak I think (although I have never been in a fight) but I do like hearing about what happens to the bullies.

When I was in primary school I got bullied by this one person quite a lot, but then skip forward 5 years, I go to a different high school than him and am averagely popular, and I hear that he does a lot of drama (not like there is nothing wrong with drama) and gets bullied quite a lot himself.

Ahh... sweet, sweet karma. Taking revenge against life once again.

You gave into temptation, resorted to physical violence, and in doing so lowered yourself down to his level. Why is that considered a good thing?
So he's supposed to let the guy beat on him? Everyone has a right to self-defense. Your telling me that if a guy punched you in the face or kicked you to the ground, you wouldn't defend yourself?
No. I would leave. I have no desire to get into a fight. I would only fight back if he was actively pursuing me. And even then, I wouldn't take pride in it.
would you rather:

A: Let the guy emotionally and physically bully you for probably the rest of your school life.

B: End it right there and then with one punch to the face.

...

damn, I promised myself I wouldn't post any bad comments, I couldn't resist!
