I don't wanna be a nerd, but because it is a copyrighted term, "lightsaber" is always spelled in the American style with "e" before "r," even if you're in Britain. Sorry.
Oh please. The army almost definitely already has.GiantSpiderGoat said:Wow if there was ever a weapon that could be used for a real life vigilante, it's this now. Wait what if the army get's a hold of it?
Lightsaber might be, but a lightsabre isn't!FaceFaceFace said:I don't wanna be a nerd, but because it is a copyrighted term, "lightsaber" is always spelled in the American style with "e" before "r," even if you're in Britain. Sorry.
They'll chuck it out since anything it can do submachine-guns can do better, and with less accidentally setting youre friends on fireGiantSpiderGoat said:Wow if there was ever a weapon that could be used for a real life vigilante, it's this now. Wait what if the army get's a hold of it?
Travis' beam katana is probabely the most realistic laser sword ever, so why in a game like No More Heroes?AceAngel said:It only sears flesh guys, calm down, and it's practically useless at anything else. You can't melt blades, you can't deflect bullets, and the projection part is too small to be of any real use.
It's a gimmick thing at best.
Now if people actually made it more like a 'No More Heroes' sword, that would be more dangerous, and you know why...
My thoughts exactly. A Katana Beam Blade (KBB) would do much more realistic as far as things go, simply and indeed because you would be able to have a 'length' to the blade, something which never made sense to me in a light-saber (even when I small kid).Matt1234567890 said:Travis' beam katana is probabely the most realistic laser sword ever, so why in a game like No More Heroes?AceAngel said:It only sears flesh guys, calm down, and it's practically useless at anything else. Also it could use less energy this wayAceAngel said:My thoughts exactly. OK, by any chance, are you a clone of me? Or another-dimension of me? Or maybe even a future time traveler of me?Matt1234567890 said:Also it could use less energy this wayAceAngel said:My thoughts exactly. the laser heads up through the blade and slices gleefully through anything that's there at the time. if nothing is there then the laser hits the 'cap' at the top and using amazingly but not too amazingly advanced technology the light energy that is the blade is converted into electricity by super-advanced solar cells. this means that while some energy is lost while the 'blade' is out otherwise you wouldn't see it, the majority goes back into the batteries. UNLESS the blade actually hits something in which case much more energy is used melting the way through. this means that you only use much energy when you actually attack, which i think is what happens in the game (haven't actually played it).
Yeah i spent a lot of time thinking about this once
I'd like to thank my fans, who've graciously supported me throughout the years; the OP, dragonslayer32, for giving me the crisi-tunity; and CD-R, the fellow who gave me the award.CD-R said:AvsJoe said:You know, this seems awesome and all, but you'll regret this invention if you ever find yourself being chased by a mugger or rapist armed with one. Yep, I'm a bit of a downer kinda guy. Can you tell?![]()
I clicked on this link wondering what the heck a guitar amp had to do with a laser. It was made worse by the fact that, yes, the Line 6 Spyder III is a crappy sounding, overpriced for what it does guitar amp -- so it would be understandable, if a bit mean, to include the "you must be this smart" line.ExileNZ said:_
