I play video games haha.
Aside from that though, I go out drinking, I enjoy getting tattoos, and go to gigs when I get the chance. Preston doesn't have a lot going on to be fair.
what kind of music are you in?and what kind of gigs are you talking about..maybe there is something interesting to do here..:)
I go to gigs in manchester. Preston occasionally gets them at 53, but the best ones are in manchester. Goin to see Amon Amarth in manc at the start of april.
Im really into my metal, fucking love it. Cant wait for that Amarth gig.
so you are telling me i`m not the only metalhead in preston?:))woow..i gotta check out the amon amarth gig:p..so what does preston have to offer in terms of metal?:p

I know someone else on here lives in Hull, UK because we were complaining about the Internet service.
Brilliant, another poor soul trapped in Hull, and you're right about the internet. Its plain awful.

If you have money to spare, try warehouse on a friday. It ain't cheap, but the musics pretty good (usually top floor) and you can make a good night of it.
If you find money a bit tighter try roper hall on a tuesday. Musics not quite as good, but its dirt cheap and can be a good laugh.
I believe theyre gonna start doin a rock night once a month at squires, although still a bit unsure on the details for that one.
Suprised youve been in Preston for nearly 6 months and not tried any of these places out lol.
EDIT: I say 6 months, going off your first post saying you're at UClan and guessing you've been here since september.

Nothing personal, but no.
Fortunately, I don't think anyone will take this as any great loss.

i have been there..warehouse...pretty expensive and the music not that good..but i guess its the best i can get..in roppers the music is shit a lot of metalcore..but u`re right it is dirt cheap..i was thinking there is more to preston than this and i was missing out..guess not:-<another thing that i guess makes me have less fun is because i don`t actually have that many friends to go out with on a metal night..pretty frustrating..

Derby, UK (doing my placement year for my Uni course)

(op - my brothers at uclan, 1st year, architecture i think)
Well, after stalking the entire thread, it seems you two are the closest to where I live (Nottingham). It's strange, because last time there was a thread like this there were two people about 20 minutes from me.

Meh, not bad I guess, thank you =). It's pretty expensive here though (housing wise) so me and the missus are probably gonna be moving back to Peterborough.
You don't want to do that, it's a hole. Though as it happens it's my hole. When I'm not being a student, anyway.
What a coincidence! That happens to be roughly where I go to school. I wonder if we've met before...

EDIT: I just did a profile/location search for Nottingham and the only username I recognise is Daystar Clarion.
Well thanks for doing the legwork dude :)
I'm at the uni too so it's weird to think me and albear could well have passed one another several times already.
ahh lack of information on my part there, i dont go to Derby University, i go to Staffrdshire University, im just living in Derby to do my Work Placement year :)

but yea easily could have walked passed you in town, small world :D
Naww dammit.

Still cool though ^.^

Nah, there's nothing good really. We used to have PR1, that was fuckin awesome. Odd crap song, but was dirt cheap, great music and we were allowed mosh pits.
The nights in Preston are what you make of them. Met all of my friends (bar 1 or 2 from school) whilst out drinkin at these places.
Just get drunk and talk to strangers. Soon have plenty of metal friends. Honestly, that's how I met alot of people I know.
