I`m studying architecture in Preston,Lancanshire UK..are there any other escapists in town?at uclan maybe?the rest of you just post where you at now..maybe you can find a friend near you..

HOLY SHIT. I can't believe I just clicked on this post and right away saw someone who lives near me. I'm also studying at UCLan but I'm on the Burnley Campus where I live for this first year. I'll be in Preston UCLan for the next year and the year after. Hope I see you there!

I'm on the combined honours course doing English, Sociology and Criminology. It's pretty awesome so far, I only have like 8 hours total of lecture time a week. Next year I get to drop a subject and I get to branch out and pick my own modules so it should be alright. Not sure whether I'm living on campus yet - think I'll just stick at home for the second year and if travelling to and from Burnley is too much of a ballache then I'll get a place for the third.

u said burnley??i`ve been there 2 weeks ago..i have to design a furniture designers workshop gallery and home near the library in burnley..dunno what to say about the city..seems kinda dull..i think its better if you find somewhere to live around here..either a hall or private..i`m living in private and it worked out just fie so far...

EDIT: I know that it gets much much colder in other places. I guess I just get bitter in the winter. I can still hate the cold, can't I?

then leave the damn city! i dislike people who complain when it is cold here. i dont care if i can freeze my dick to a tree by pissing sometimes! ITS MY CITY! MY BIRTH CITY! AND I SHALL DEFEND HER HONOR TO THE LAST whenever the hell i feel like giving up!!!! (and i never tried the pissing thing, i might make a friend do it on a dare next winter though now that i have the idea in writing)

but in all seriousness, yeah it gets cold, i get it, and i dont mean to hate, ranting is just fun sometimes. and i just dont like how some people turn up the heaters soo damn high i cant wear a sweater inside (im looking at you lincoln park HS!!!!)

i live in the city itself, not downtown though. in lincoln square. like literally right next to the old town school of folk music. dont show up at my house though, im only 15 and i dont think my parents would appreciate a stalker showing up outta nowhere. the neighborhood is quite nice though, movie theater, dozens of restaurants and sandwich shops and stores, even a dentist and glasses maker (whatever they are called) so its worth visiting. if you are ever nearby

You're right there, it's insanely dull. The nightlife is pretty decent but aside from that it's a chav infested run down slum in most places. I'm in Leeds a lot though - I have three mates who live up in the universities there so whenever I get a week off they practically insist that I move in with them.

Don't think I've been to that part yet...sounds pretty nifty (is nifty still a word? I think so...)

And don't worry, I won't stalk. Way too much effort. And it seems you're not even a girl. (Not that I would stalk a girl anyway. Just because I like lurking these threads doesn't mean I have any desire to lurk anywhere else. Especially a 45 min - 1 hr drive! Phew, that was close...)

I'm living in Tacoma, Washington at the moment. Apparently there aren't that many Washington Escapists. Huh.

You'd be suprised how many of us there are.

I'm from Camas, Washington just across the river from Portland so I kind of consider that to be my home city just because it's the one that people tend to recognize. I know NamesRobertPaulson goes to the same community college as me but I've never met him.

You all are just hiding or I'm oblivious to everything. Probably the latter.

Yeah they've changed it now where you only get points at A2, not AS. Which must really suck for some people, my friend included.
