I live near Blackpool, which is only 14 miles away, or 25 minutes by train.
never been to blackpool..closest i got was saint anne on the sea..creepy name..creepy place..so how is blackpool?anything interesting to do there?
I'm probably not the best person to ask, since I don't really like it here and I'm moving down to Cornwall later this year.

I suppose it's subjecting though. I grew up here and "cut my teeth" going out, so I always found plenty of stuff to do as a teenager, though mostly revolving around drugs and drinking and getting up to mischief with a small group of friends.

The town itself is probably more interesting for visitors than residents. It's an OK place to visit but not a nice place to live, since it's pretty scummy and debauchery gets pretty boring after a few years.

Since I've moved back here 4 years ago (after living in Canterbury for about 7 years), I hardly "go out" at all, instead I just keep to myself in my quite village, which is a few miles away from the town.

Nowadays I probably see less of Blackpool than some Scottish tourists.

Chandler, Az., a very boring place if you ask me, and it gets way too damn hot here.

So far as I'm aware of, no one lives in Az that's on here.

Alone again...
Actually, I live in Chandler, AZ as well. Just recently moved from FL in December.
Went from hot and humid to hot and so far not so hot. But I know how it gets in the summer -_-
I've actually been there before, so yeah, in the summer this place makes FL seem like a cake walk. I've actually cracked on egg on the side walk here in July, made me sad when I was able to make scrambled eggs.

Skal på Fana folkehøyskole

Currently in Tønsberg, Norway.
are you guys into black metal by any chance?
A little, more into prog/power meta though
just checking the stereotype:))if you watch metalocalypse you get it:p
Hehehe, that's okay, I know that stereotype quite well xP
Also, black metal is Norway's largest cultural export (totally true) so the chance is pretty high.

Baraboo, Wisconsin.
pretty spiffy, I guess. Nothing exciting really...unless you count all the news coverage just 45 minutes south in Madison.

Hahaha, yes we do. we actually have about 13 holland in the USA. But luckly they are nothing like the Holland Netherlands. It was founded in the 1700s. so its like Holland then, not now.

what do u like to do in oxford...for fun/relaxation..?
Ummm, I don't tend to go out much in Oxford, I'm a bit of an indoors kind of guy. Whenever I do go out however, its normally to go to College or to the Cinema. So yeah I kind of do nothing.

Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois...Nice city, when it's NOT fucking cold.
Chicago is delightfully warm compared to where I live: a small town called Gwinn.

Same county as OP.

Lancaster University. If you're in town on Tuesday, come down to the Golden Lion pub, I'll be the one with the Gibson Les Paul who's making too much noise.

Does God hate anybody else too?
The LRR crew are too cool for me to count as "fellow Escapists". They're lyke celebrities, Gawd man!
That being said, I will make a point of stalking them when I visit my aunt in Victoria.

I'm in a small town about 1 and a half hours bus ride away from Newcastle, UK. This place literally is a one horse town. I'm being serious, the horse is right outside the high school and it stinks of horse shit.

Here's to moving to the city when I get older. Don't know what it is, but the way a city looks in a film; just sitting in a coffee shop on a rainy day, 1940s style rain coat and hat drenched as you sit in warmth with the buzz of life around you. Fucking beautiful.
