First Reach reviews are out....

Games Radar made an interesting point, that it feels more like a sequel to ODST than Halo 4, which is a little dissapointing to hear but as we know, the sensible thing is not to listen to critics and decide for ourselves.

I can't imagine the multi being anything other than amazingly fun, if the beta was anything to go by. I know a lot of us need a break from COD for a while.

I'm going at midnight to pick up a Limited Edition copy. Judging by the reviews so far, I don't think I'm going to regret it. I played the shit out of Halo 3: ODST's Firefight mode even though most of the time it was a strictly solo affair. I'm not kidding [http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/gamehistoryodst.aspx?player=DetroitHands]; it's almost embarrassing how much I played it.

So yeah. I'm really looking forward to Reach's new and improved Firefight.

I won't be doing the midnight thing sadly, since I only managed to get it from preorder online, but my brother's going so if there's any cool free stuff to be handed out like the midnight release of Gears 2 then hopefully he'll grab me an extra.

I don't get some reviewers. they talk about what an improvement it is over halo 3 but give it a lower score. It doesn't bother me that much though as I find the written review to be more important than the score and all the written reviews have nothing but good things to say.

I'm on the fence with this, I absolutely despised ODST's firefight, and to be honest I was so bad in Halo 3's matchmaking that I only made it to a pitiful level 45 while the rest of my friends got that cherished wreath.

Yet, if this is really going to be as big as MW2's multiplayer and you would actually like to play with your friends, what choice do you have other then go out and buy it?

Yes and no. I like the Firefight map 'Lost Platoon', which features Wraiths that are best destroyed by the Spartan Laser. Hence why I've gotten so many points with easy, high-scoring Wraith-killing laser shots. Also: when you're playing alone, it's not as if you can let someone else kill them for you.

JESUS CHRIST! I tremble when I imagine how many games you'll play on Reach Firefight.

Anyway, I don't like the games radar review because they thought Halo 3 had a better campaign, which was just a lie. 3s campaign only had 2 decent levels, while each of the Reach levels I'll play over and over again.

I second this emotion.

I really just don't like the Halo games. Never have enjoyed playing them, and this one looks no different. I may have to try Forgeworld though.

From what I've seen from reviews they tend to say that its a halo game, nothing more. Despite having it pre-ordered I'm not that excited about it. Also, I received notification that its in the post, so I might get it tomorrow (probably tuesday though).

Nope, no dice. Not getting it, I am gonna be in a gaming coma until Dead Rising 2 comes out later this month.
