So, down to business, what do I think about when I see a physically attractive girl?
a: She's physically attractive.
b: How can I talk with her? After that I generally will try to talk to her. Unless it's a situation like a mall or some place where I'd have to walk halfway across a building to talk to her. In that case, I'd leave the depths of my thoughts at "a" and move on.
I focus on not staring.
I've become VERY good at it, and even pretending when an incredibly hot girl is sitting right next to me in class for an hour, but I always have that nerd part of me that can't relax.
Not particularly lustful, come to think of it, though. I'm more worried about looking bad, despite never even trying to meet them. Weird.

First I would mentally undress her in the space of a few milliseconds.
Then I would think of my already hot girlfriend of 5 years that I can easily bang without any high-maintenance bullshit.
The girls to go for are the ones that are hot, but don't know it yet. Perfect example, think of all the girls who didn't mature right away in high-school. More often than not they are now incredibly hot yet still down to Earth. These are the girls you marry.
Then I would think of my already hot girlfriend of 5 years that I can easily bang without any high-maintenance bullshit.

Usually, I get chatting to a girl Before I start to think 'actually, you're physically attractive as well as nice... I wanna go out with you' or possibly 'I like you, but... ahh I think just being friends would be beeest.' Strangers rarely draw more then a 'meh' from me. Although I do have a soft spot for particularly nice eyes or a perfect bum... *aaaaahhh*
