on a related note I cannot stand professional soccer everytime one of the players does a flip onto his head because sombody ran beside them it makes me facepalm. How can they feel like they are showing any kind of sportsmanship doing that when I used to get triped I got the hell up n kept going for that ball most of the time I would even just rolls straight back up.

I love both too.

Been a Man city fan for as long as I can remember. Looking forward to Champions league (Whether we win it or not) and hopefully a Manchester 1,2 in the prem this year.

Regarding Sunderland, I was wondering the same thing, maybe they'll be a force to be reckoned with, who knows.

Is it just me or ar Arsenal starting to leak their players away? Clichy to City, Fabregas might be going and so might Nasri.

Should be a good season.

Lol. I love being called a Yank. >.>
Funny how that word is no longer considered a derogatory insult. Also, it would be MUCH less flamebait if OP just said "American Football" instead of "that crappy yank shiz." Also, I apologize in the name of America for having an intense sport that has a vast fanbase where the fans have cookoffs and den parties instead of looting and pillaging.
'American football'? don't you mean if he just said soccer? And since when has America never had riots to do with sports?

Also I'm curious as to which sports have cookoffs and den parties. I'm being quite sincere with this. I really would like to know. :D

First off, never call anyone from the American South a Yank, as it probably won't end well for you.

Second, no, it's not all that uncommon. I myself practice martial arts and work out a few times a week, as well as watch American football, but I used to play Soccer when I was younger.

My mate plays semi professional Football, he's also a football coach for a junior team.

He plays his xbox more than I play mine. You are not alone.

(I've never heard (real) Football called footy. Footy always means Rugby or AFL in Australia.)

Read footy and assumed someone must have been referencing State of Origin. Needless to say I was dissapointed when it turned out to be Soccer.

Not suprising at all I'm an avid gamer and also a big Blackpool fan, and I know plenty of people who are the same. Gaming is more widely 'acceptable' now than ever before whereas once it may have been a 'neardy' or 'childish' thing to do thanks to the new generation of consoles it is now the norm, almost everyone I know owns at least one games console.

LOL WUT?! You get out of here. Everyone knows that no Manchester United fan lives in Manchester... and Manchester United isn't even based in Manchester... it's in Trafford! =P

'Come on down to the sea' :D

ah you knew from mid season it was always going to happen, I was more pissed last night when I found out Vaughan was going to Sunderland.

Still I'm going to watch Fleetwood play PNE on Wednesday so that should be entertaining lol.

Yeah, ever since that 4 million offer came in last season, old Ian got riled up. And I loved him and his post-match interviews too... some of his analogies were hilarious! Though I imagine he's either apoplectic or sobbing in a corner. Did he have much say in the sales?

(Though perhaps I should worry about who we've got coming in... if anybody, 'cos it's gonna be a looooooooong season, we need the spare bodies. Fulham, BTW)

Ha, I'm not even a Man U fan (see just above). I still celebrate when they win a trophy (lol, I almost wrote 'atrophy' there!) since, as an upstanding Fulham fan, I hate Chelsea!

Sckizo, I celebrate when they win too (unless they beat City doing so) because of local pride (and also a hatred of Chelsea, they're somewhat of a punchline amongst my friends)

I just think it's great that both main mancunian teams are achieving a good degree of success.

(Also, hope Fulham do well in the europa, would also like to see Blackpool back in the prem if not just for Ian holloway)

I haven't heard him in an interview since it was announced, I've kept up to date on the news from Sky Sports News on the TV in the pub so the sound's turned off, can't believe the bastards took it off freeview.

Me and my 2 closest friends, along with some not so close friends, all play soccer, and we're all gamers.

It's only house league, but my team has won a championship 2 years running. Just yesterday, my friend scored an absurd 7 goals in his game.

I also an want to get into training MMA, but I'm too much of a chicken shit (cookie for reference).
