If I had the money, I'd smoke cigars every day, I love 'em. Occasionally, I'll roll myself a cigarette with Cutter's Choice or, if I had the money to buy them, Marlboro Lights/Menthols.

I use to smoke legend 100s, only thing my mother ever got for us. Since I started when I was 16 I couldn't exactly buy my own. Now that I'm 20 and haven't smoked in almost a year I just think it's getting too exspensive and it's the governments fault for jacking up the taxes and justifying it by saying it's healthy. You know what else would be healthy? Jacking up taxes on high fat foods but they don't do that as there'd be riots.

Also I am just waiting on someone to jump in this thread and complain about how smoking is bad for people. In all honesty if it weren't for smoking I wouldn't be alive right now so please nobody come in here and complain about it.

I'm a fan of Marlboro, but i LOVED smoking Krateks(even tho they were worse for you) I think the brand is black. I only smoke occasionally tho.

I really wish when they outlawed flavored cigs they also outlawed menthol there would have been a fucking riot and it would have been repealed immediately.

I smoke Marlboro Lts, but my favorite is Camel Wides. They're too harsh to smoke them all the time, but I usually keep a pack around for an occasional indulgence.

Wow looking at your prices, cigs are cheap here. When I do smoke(I try to stay away unless I'm really stressed) I always go for Marlboro Lights for $4.

Agreed.

It's the only way I find tobacco tolerable. My Mom was a pack-a-day chain-smoker for years and it kind of put me off of cigarettes personally. Don't have anything against them, just not for me. Cigars are a bit better but that's just in relative, I don't see myself going and buying a humidor or the like any time soon.

But the old hookah on the other hand? I can't really say why but I just find it agreeable on some level. The idea of the middle-eastern-esque tea house where you sit around drinking some tea, eating a few Turkish Delights [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Delight] and taking hits off of the hookah definitely appeals to me.

I'm just not aware of anyplace like that around here unfortunately.

Again, curiosity, but is Golden Virginia a stoners smoke? I just get that vibe from it...
I wouldn't necessarily classify it as a stoner's smoke. Stoner's tend to go for actual cigarettes as they are much nicer and easier to roll into a *ahem* spliff, marijuana ciagarette. Might be different where you are from though.

Used to be Marlboro light, now I'm smoking blue Chesterfield.

Most of that stuff is crap, but I can't afford proper smokes anymore.

hmm... After smoking for a bit I grew to love the smell of cigar/ette smoke. When i walk past people it doens't bother me.

But I dont' really smoke at all now. A few cigarillos and cigars here and there but none of those cigarettes.

Nicely justified I think.

Where are you from anyway? The cigs here are at minimum $11.30 or something around that a pack of 25. In pubs they're like $16 and 50g pack of my rollies are 23. Rippoff i rekon.

I've had to work my way from cigars to weed to cigarettes and occasionally back to weed. When I started smoking cigarettes, I was on Marlboro Red 100's, back then it was about $2.10 a pack. But as times have changed, I've had to rethink my budget on that vice. I'm down to Black Hawk 100's ($23 a carton), and while they aren't the healthiest of cigarettes, at least they are more affordable than the $55 I've seen Marlboros going for around here. I'd much rather be smoking weed (the cost is about the same), but it is much harder to come by through a reliable source these days. Too many people have moved on to meth or are still using coke and heroin... at nearly 31, I almost look like an immature teen smoking a joint. But what the hell, I can't get drunk so I've got to go with what works. If pot was more available, I wouldn't need cigarettes to start with. I started smoking cigarettes when the weed supply dried up around here about eight years ago and got addicted to them. If I had a better supply point, I'd quit smoking cigarettes because I can't do both. The tobacco makes me sick with weed in my system.

That's just hilarious. I doubt most people would even take that seriously.
I like the ones that say "smoking is addictive" or "smoking harms unborn babys" (as, being a dude, doesn't effect me) lol

Don't touch tobacco at all now, but when I did it'd be Mayfairs or Golden Virginia, and I carried on using GV for joints, before I switched to a pipe.

I'm from the state that smoking built, North Carolina. Seriously if people hadn't been craving tobacco as much as they used to this state would never have had as much money as it did. Seriously here they outlawed smoking in restaurants and bars and yet restaurants still do not have sections free of kids despite them being a greater danger to my health (my blood pressure specifically) then any cigarette.

As for the price my state is still low on taxes compared to the rest of the country
http://tobaccofreekids.org/research/factsheets/pdf/0099.pdf
but still every state seems to be on this climb in prices. I think that chart is from before a tax hike a few months ago.
