I'm pretty sure I'm a guy though, just so we're clear.
How I got into the show?
Well, that started on another gaming board (will not mention name, it is not a kind place. And no it is not ze 4chan) when someone posted a video for a game trailer of Elder Scrolls VI: Equestria. Oh, do youtube that if you haven't, there's definitely the Wuffy Stamp of Approval on it. Or it would be if I ever got around to finishing that stamp design. What was I saying? Yes, Ponies. Well I was impressed by the animation, though at the time I just thought it was a small webseries as no one on the other board liked to talk ponies.
Fast forward a week and zoom to here, and boom! There's a pony poll where someone had posted a few eps and explained to me that it was in fact a show. I fell in love by Pinkie's first song, and it was still only after that when I realized why the name Lauren Faust was so familiar. Haven't turned away since.
Interesting note: When I asked all of my friends if they'd heard of it themselves, they'd told me they'd been into it for a while (a couple do peruse /co). A mild fit later involving why hadn't I been told about it resulted in them mentioning they assumed I was already watching it because it was exactly my style of show.
... I still do not know how to take that last part.
Favourite Pony: Pinkie. Pie.
