For people who owns both the PS3 and Xbox 360 and likes both!

I'm just being curious here.

If you own both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and like them both equally (even if for different reason), what makes you decide on which one you will be buying a game that is available for both?

Please no fanboys hate here.

I play my ps3 occasionally, but I prefer me some 360, although I've no problem with anyonedisagreeing.

If its a game that i will be mostly playing multiplayer then my 360. Its what most of my friends have.
Otherwise i will most likely get it for the ps3. And of course, exclusives galore for those of us with both
(even better when you have a gaming computer too )

I don't have both, but if I did, I'd probably reserve the 360 for exclusives, games I can play online with my friends, and Bayonetta.

Because Bayonetta on PS3 can be very annoying.

For multiplayer that I know my friends are going to be into, 360. Otherwise I go with the PS3, I hate having a red-ring of death stop me from gaming for a month. Such a pain.

I try to keep it even.

If I bought, say, Army of Two: The 40th day for the 360, I would then buy my next 3rd party game for the PS3.

Unless many reviews show that the game works decidedly better for one console, like how Bayonetta works better for the 360.

xbox 360 for everything and the ps3 for exclusives. But because the ps3 has such strong exclusives i like em equally

I forgot to say what I would do...
If the game has major stability issues (framerate, loading, etc.), I'll go with the stable one.
If not, I'll go with the Playstation.
For some reason, I prefer the Trophies over the Achievements.
Even for multiplayer games, I'd stick to my PS3.
Most of my friends aren't hard core gamers and bought the PS3, because the extra content (blueray, music and movie playbay, etc.) offered by the console appealed more to them.
However, the Xbox is still being used a lot for exclusives!

If its a shooter (that i am not, for some reason, getting for PC) then I will get it for the 360 just because the controller is that much better (to me). PS3 i will pick up action games for, like god of war etc... Its nice to see the ps3 getting some good exclusives finally too, like uncharted 2 etc

yeah. the PS3 really came into the spotlight last year.

I'm getting one once I get another job.

I get it for PS3 basically because it is my first love, and my xbox is my dirty lover on the side. If there are problems with the PS3 version like Bayonetta has, I get it for XBox. And I also get games that are for online play like Borderlands or MW2 for Xbox. Otherwise, I get it for PS3!

I play the PS3 almost always.

Of course, if there's a new exclusive or a multi-platform game that is a stone's throw better looking on the 360, then I hook it back on.

It depends on teh game. If its MP itll be 360 until live runs out. Other then that itll be PS3 all the way.
